Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. This role is based in Tuas Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities

- Closely involved – as a contributing team member – with a variety of assignments with the laboratory

- Accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and may attain additional responsibilities for release of standard and/or routine data to clients

- Conduct Routine Tests such as stripping test, moisture content, rebar’s geometrical measurements

- Work with Engineer and lead with advanced tests, including tensile test and ad-hoc experiments.

- Accurately record and report data from tests.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Automation System Design & Implementation

· Design, develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.

· Integrate automation systems with injection moulding machines, assembly machines, conveyors, vision systems and testing equipment.

2. Injection Moulding & Assemble Automation Support (Added Advantage)

· Support automation integration for injection moulding machines, including robot take-out, insert loading, degating and post-moulding operations.

3. Programming & Control Systems

· Develop and modify automation logic, sequences, interlocks and safety circuits.

· Ensure proper communication between machines using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus and etc).

4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

· Diagnose and resolve automation system faults, breakdowns and performance issues with minimal downtime.

· Provide on-site technical support during production, mould trials and new product launches.

· Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement activities on automation equipment.

5. Machine & Process Improvement

· Analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for automation, cycle time reduction and efficiency improvement.

· Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance machine reliability, OEE and process stability.

· Support poka-yoke (error-proofing) and vision inspection implementation.

6. Safety, Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure automation systems comply with machine safety standards and company EHS requirements.

· Prepare and maintain automation documentation such as electrical drawings, PLC programs, SOP and risk assessments.

· Support IQ, OQ and PQ activities related to automated equipment where applicable.

7. Cross functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth automation deployment.

· Coordinate with machine suppliers, system integrators and vendors for installation, debugging and upgrades.

· Provide training to technicians and operators on automation system operation and basic troubleshooting.

8. Project Management & Support

· Assist in cost estimation, RFQ evaluation and automation feasibility studies.

· Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands on experience in industrial automation within medical device and/or precision plastic manufacturing environments.

Requirements

Summary of Role

This position is within GlobalFoundries RF Design Enablement team with focus on ground rule development and Silicon Validation (GRV).The Ground Rule Validation (GRV) is part of the Design Manual Engineering (DME)/Design Enablement team that creates and supports the Design Rules based on technological, manufacturing and business considerations. The Design Manual itself is one of the key components of the Process Design Kits (PDKs) provided by GF.

These Design Rules (or Ground Rules) must be carefully engineered and qualified to ensure the competitiveness and manufacturability of GF technologies. This qualification is performed by the Ground Rule Validation team.

The Design Manual Engineering (DME) team is a very dynamic and international team of experts, involved in development projects with the US, Germany, and Singapore manufacturing sites.

The team is also a very active player in GF innovation and patent submissions. We cover a broad range of projects, which offers many opportunities for new technical solutions and ideas.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Program Managers, Manufacturing teams (Process Integration), Customer engineers, Benchmarking teams to identify and understand the key technological features that need to be controlled and secured by Design Rules.

• Create layout Designs of Experiment (DoE) and design Test Structures that will be delivered on Test vehicles.

• Perform rigorous Silicon data analysis and efficiently communicate the conclusions to Design Rule engineers, as well as Integration teams.

• Champion modifications of process or Design Rules based on data to optimize GlobalFoundries’ technology portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for tester installation, re-configuration, upgrade, repair and debug
• Identify and execute continuous improvement to improve test performance and OEE
• Generate technical gap analysis of new hardware, software and license requirement
• Provide technical training to production personnel
• Coordinate and lead machine suppliers on project costing and time management
• Support audit / visit and render assistance in solving outstanding/quality issues

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in any engineering field or equivalent
• Knowledge of equipment, testers, handlers
• Prior experience in equipment troubleshoot, maintenance and repair
• Semiconductor Programming & Application skills
• Good planning & organizing ability and a team player
• Familiar with Quality Management – Problem Solving, SPC, DOE, FMEA
• Good communication & presentation skills

Primary Purpose

This position provides the desktop support for the first contact point for customers, you will be responsible to provide prompt assistance to customers, addressing a range of IT topics and issues. Besides, you will ensure that software, licenses and operations comply with standards.

Responsibilities

- Performed Desktop Support services to users

- This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests and escalating incidents when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction and SLA expectations.

- Perform imaging/re-imaging

- Perform tech refresh on devices

- Perform asset inventories

- Perform technical escalation to 3rd party vendor or resolver groups (where appropriate)

- Updates Incident records

- Creates and updates work instructions (where necessary)

- Document standards and procedures (where necessary)

Qualifications

- Min. ITE/Diploma graduate with 1 year experience in desktop support

- Min 1 year experience in Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365

- Clear Spoken & Written English.

- possess at least one (1) of the following certifications or their equivalent:

- CompTIA A+;

- CompTIA Security+;

- CompTIA Network+;

- Microsoft MD 102
