What you'll be doing

• Independently carry out audit engagements in a professional and efficient manner.
• Perform full audit procedures including planning, fieldwork, finalization and reporting.
• Conduct audit fieldwork such as stocktake observation, document review and audit
• inquiries.
• Assist in planning and finalizing audit assignments, highlighting key audit issues and areas requiring professional judgement.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with MFRS / MPERS.
• Ensure all audit documentation is properly completed and compliant with standards.

What we're looking for

• Professional Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Accounting, ACCA, MIA, CPA or other equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in audit or accounting (For Senior position) Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for entry-level position).
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MBRS and AMC Audit Software, enhancing audit accuracy and efficiency.
• Positive attitude, hardworking, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong time management and able to meet deadlines.

As an Internal Audit, Associate, Senior Auditor in the Asia Pacific Corporate Functions Audit Team, you will lead and participate in audit engagements focused on Global and APAC Risk Management and Compliance processes and controls across multiple business lines and asset classes. Job responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of Risk Management and Compliance audits within the Global and APAC Corporate Functions Internal Audit Plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage across business lines and legal entities. Plan, execute, and perform data-driven audit activities independently, maintaining high standards and adherence to professional practices.

• Analyze risks, identify root causes, and provide recommendations for improvement. Communicate audit findings and opinions on control effectiveness clearly and concisely to management and stakeholders.

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting transparency and open dialogue. Collaborate with other audit teams to ensure early identification and reporting of emerging control issues.

• Stay current on industry, regulatory, accounting, and technology developments, sharing best practices with the team.

• Monitor and review learning and development opportunities, influencing training agendas for the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 6 years of audit or relevant risk, markets, compliance, regulatory experience in an international banking environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

• Demonstrable knowledge of risk monitoring and management, including credit, market and liquidity risk metrics and stress testing, as well as operational and model risk.

• Strong data analytics capability with experience using tools/languages such as Excel (advanced), SQL, Python, Alteryx or similar, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and analytical testing.

• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking, with an independent and objective approach.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

• Commitment to self-development and adaptability in a changing environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA or CAMS

• Knowledge of risk metrics such as Value at Risk (VaR), Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL), and stress testing.

• Understanding of emerging industry and regulatory changes impacting risk management.

• Project management skills and strong relationship management capabilities.

We are partnering with a leading global industrial gases and engineering company to appoint a Senior Auditor to join its Corporate Internal Audit function based in Singapore, supporting APAC-wide audit activities.

The role is responsible for delivering independent assurance and advisory engagements that strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks across regional operations. The Senior Auditor will evaluate business processes, identify control gaps, and provide practical, value-added recommendations to improve efficiency, compliance, and operational performance.

The role works closely with regional stakeholders to execute audit assignments, document findings, and monitor the implementation of agreed audit actions across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of audit engagements, including scope definition, objectives, timelines, and coordination with audited entities
• Gather and analyse audit-relevant information to support effective audit preparation and fieldwork
• Participate in opening and closing meetings with stakeholders to align on audit approach and outcomes
• Perform process walkthroughs, control testing, and detailed fieldwork under supervisory guidance
• Identify risks, control weaknesses, and inefficiencies, and propose practical and value-added improvements
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks
• Support monitoring of global business controls across APAC in coordination with audit leadership

Key Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years external audit experience with a Big Four firm
• Strong exposure to multinational or regional audit environments preferred
• Experience in cross-border or complex operating structures is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards
• Solid understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience in SOX testing and internal control frameworks
• Knowledge of corporate governance and enterprise risk management principles
• Exposure to audit assignments such as operational audits, investigations, or due diligence work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret financial and operational data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with IDEA or Celonis is preferred
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) is an advantage
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with high professionalism and attention to detail
