Test Strategy & Development

• Develop cost-effective and high-efficiency test solutions for GaN and Silicon device families.
• Create, debug, and release test programs on discrete testers and mixed signal ATE platforms. Lead the transition of legacy platforms to new technology nodes.

Hardware Design & Requirements

• Lead the design reviews and acceptance of high-performance test interface hardware provided by external vendors.
• Design test hardware including load boards, probe heads, and sockets.
• Define test hardware requirements based on device specifications and characterization data

Execution & Sustaining

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through validation, release, and yield ramp activities.
• Provide sustaining support for production products and test platforms.
• Lead platform conversions and drive efficiency improvements across multiple ATE systems.

Technical Expertise

• Apply knowledge of wide bandgap semiconductors, power devices, and analog measurement techniques.
• Perform high-voltage and high-current testing safely and efficiently.
• Use lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and ATE debugging utilities.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with design, product, reliability, test, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Renesas is seeking for a supplier quality engineer for its Outsourced assembly and test subcontractor management. The Subcontractor Quality Engineer is responsible for providing support of Supplier Quality Systems through identification and evaluation of key process metrics, verification of Renesas specific requirements, support of Quality and risk mitigation activities, continuous improvements, audits and implementation of best-known-practices. This role ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed and assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO/TS16949 wherever applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Quality Management & Liaison

Act as the primary quality interface between suppliers and Renesas, ensuring alignment with quality requirements and expectations.

Quality Excursion Management & Corrective Actions

Lead the investigation of quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D) and drive effective corrective and preventive actions to closure.

Supplier Audit, Certification & Change Control

Maintain and execute the supplier audit program and support supplier process/material change management and site certification activities.

New Supplier Assessment & Qualification

Provide quality leadership in the evaluation and qualification of new subcontractors supporting Automotive, High Reliability, Industrial, and Commercial markets.

Continuous Improvement Leadership

Analyze quality trends, manage improvement projects, and influence cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement at subcontractor sites.

Training & Best Practice Deployment

Deliver supplier quality training and support the development and deployment of best-known practices across subcontracted manufacturing operations.
