What we're looking for
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000)
What you'll be doing
- To supervise the daily operations of the QA laboratory.
- To ensure all QC matters and tests are performed in accordance to the described work instructions
- To verify all QC test records.
- To assist the QA Manager to investigate the root cause of non-conformity in in-coming materials, in-process products and finished products.
- To assist the QA Manager to investigate consumer complaint.
- To assist the QA Manager to carry out research and development work.
- To ensure laboratory equipment are calibrated in accordance to the calibration schedule.
- To assist the QA Manager to evaluate the suitability of raw and packaging material sample from supplier.
- To report any non-conformity in in-comings, in-process products and finished products to QA Manager.
- To participate in internal quality and food safety audits programmes.
- Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and quality standards
- Any other tasks given from time to time by the QA Manager.
