Your Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end leadership of our warehouse and customer service teams. You will oversee daily warehouse operations while also managing customer service activities, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, the Scania Parts Center (Belgium)

You will play a vital role in developing people, optimizing processes, safeguarding safety standards, and ensuring we deliver the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire both warehouse and customer service teams to reach performance targets and deliver high-quality service.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations
• Oversee customer order handling, delivery coordination, complaint resolution, and service follow-up.
• Monitor key KPIs related to logistics performance, customer satisfaction, and team output; drive improvement initiatives based on these metrics.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, business analysis, safety, and planning teams to drive long-term process development.
• Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, performance reviews, and team-building activities.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement inline with the Scania Way and safety (SHE) principles.

CITY SATAY (FOOD INDUSTRIES) PTE LTD manufactures satay, yakitori, and BBQ food products, serving local and export markets with quality frozen meat products and related food items.

Job Summary

Lead and manage warehouse operations at a new 2500ft facility, overseeing inventory, logistics, and distribution to support local and export food manufacturing customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement warehouse procedures for inventory management, product check-in/check-out, and stock rotation to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency
• Prepare daily sales orders and coordinate timely dispatch for driver pickup of frozen meat products
• Collaborate with production teams to monitor and adjust stock levels to meet daily operational demands
• Oversee logistics activities and coordinate warehouse operations to support distribution services for local Singapore customers
• Manage warehouse activities 5-6 days per week, adapting workflows to meet operational needs
• Lead process improvements and support growth initiatives for the new logistics and export company through effective warehouse management

Required competencies and certifications

• Manage warehouse or product receiving operations with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Hold a Class-3 Driver’s License to operate company vehicles as required
• Experience operating forklift, stacker truck

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Completed secondary school equivalent education

JOB PURPOSE:

The VMI Programs Manager is primarily responsible for developing and implementing ‘service excellence’ standards and operating procedures in support of the Company’s specialized inventory management programs which are offered to our customers; such as BIM, VBIM, and Consignment Programs.

The role includes responsibility for project management of various process improvement initiatives and development of standard operating procedures (SOP) related to the INVENTORY MANAGEMENT DEPT dept and Sales Branches as defined by region, territory and/or country, as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Manage the VMI Programs team who are focused on providing service excellence through on-line system-management of the inventory programs with our customers and sales branches.

2. Provide quality solutions to issues & challenges faced by the VMI Program team and sales branches in servicing the various programs.

3. Ensure that the VMI department goals and objectives are met through regular communication and feedback with the team.

4. Develop and implement standard operating procedures which focus on providing effective and efficient ‘solutions’ to the daily process requirements of the Sales Branches.

5. Assist the INVENTORY MANAGEMENT DEPT ISO Champion in obtaining and retaining ISO certification for the department.

6. Actively participate in the growth and development of the INVENTORY MANAGEMENT DEPT department services and solutions as a member of the management team.

JOB CONTENT:

VMI Programs Management

1. Provide direction and guidance to the VMI Team in managing the daily accountabilities of the team, such as BIM Performance Measurement and Reporting, Bond Management Reviews, and various Consignment reports.

2. Address the individual needs of the existing and new team members through ongoing evaluation of skill set and competencies and then provide guidance and training as required.

3. Facilitate meetings and/or conference calls between VMI dept, sales branch and Product Marketing staff as and when necessary to address issues or challenges related to a specific customer program.

4. Communicate BIM Performance Reports to the field and adress problem areas of underperformance with the respective sales teams to ensure the services offered in the program are meeting or exceeding the expectations of the customers and the sales branches.

5. Work with Asia and Montreal INVENTORY MANAGEMENT DEPT dept management to ensure Asia VMI department is staying current with process automation and new tools offered by the Company. Coordinate implementation and training of new tools and programs for the department as required.

RECOMMENDED CREDENTIALS:

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least a Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field

EXPERIENCES

• At least 5 or more years of work related experience in Electronics industry, preferably with minimally 2 years management experience.
