About the Role

We’re looking for a Web Design & Development Intern to support the build and launch of two websites on Webflow, while contributing to front-end development for our online platform. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who wants to strengthen both their design and coding skills in a real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build two responsive websites using Webflow, from concept to launch

• Modify Webflow templates to suit our needs

• Support front-end development of our online platform (TypeScript, Claude Code)

• Ensure websites are responsive, performant, and user-friendly across devices

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on design, content, and user experience

• Assist with website updates, testing, and optimization

Requirements

• Basic experience with Webflow (academic or personal projects acceptable)

• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Claude Code & Agentic systems

• Understanding of responsive design and UI/UX principles

• Ability to translate designs into functional web pages

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Good to Have

• Experience with web design (e.g. WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)

• Exposure to CMS, SEO basics, or web performance optimization

• Portfolio of web design or front-end projects

The Team

ZBSchools creates Chinese content, publications and manages digital/social media platforms aimed at young children and teenagers. The Role

ZBSchools is seeking a highly motivated Reporter cum Sub-editor to join its editorial team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, conduct interviews and produce quality written content for student publications targeted at readers aged between 7 and 18

• Design page layout for student publications 

• Conceptualise and collaborate with team to create original Chinese multimedia content for digital platforms, including videos, social media posts and campaigns 

• Support digital creative projects/live events across digital platforms

• Assist in managing and maintaining of digital platforms

• Develop and implement strategies to grow outreach/engagement for digital/social media platforms

• Manage outreach projects/events
  

Requirements

• Effectively bilingual with good written Chinese communication skills

• Diploma/Degree in media or relevant disciplines

• At least 3 years of working experience; relevant working experience preferred. 

• Highly creative, self-motivated and able to work independently 

• Passionate in creating entertaining and informative content for students

• Organised and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines 

• Experience in video production will be an advantage

• Knowledge of In-Design, CapCut, Premiere Pro or other media editing software will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and plan editorial content in consultation with Supervising Editors 

• Maintain a strong focus on contextualising stories for an Asian audience, in line with CNA’s mandate to help people Understand Asia 

• Monitor news wires, global media and online sources to identify top stories in Asia and beyond, ensuring key developments are not missed 

• Build rundowns for hourly bulletins, assigning stories to editors and producers 

• Edit scripts to maintain a high standard of English and broadcast news writing, adhering to Mediacorp’s editorial standards and the CNA Style Guide 

• Write compelling news scripts that integrate graphics (including augmented reality), visuals and soundbites to tell engaging, relevant stories 

• Train and develop proficiency in desktop video editing software 

• Break news quickly, accurately and responsibly 

• React swiftly to developing stories, updating scripts and rundowns to reflect the latest developments

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies or Arts & Social Sciences 

• Minimum seven years’ experience in journalism or a media-related field 

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; second or third languages a plus 

• Deep interest in international news and current affairs 

• Strong storytelling ability and visual sensibility 

• Independent, resourceful, collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills  

• Solid understanding of TV news production and editorial workflows
