Job purpose:

• Provide instrumentation and DCS/Systems execution support for projects and turnaround instrumentation scope.
• Provide Planning, scheduling, costing & Ordering for approved TA & Project scope

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of preventive maintenance activities, including IMTE / calibration for chemical manufacturing equipment.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance for building systems and utility facilities.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance tasks and simple electrical work where required.
• Participate in feasibility studies and planning for the installation of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Coordinate with and supervise external contractors for maintenance and repair works.
• Prepare and compile approval documentation, equipment training materials, and installation submissions for relevant government authorities and internal processes.
• Support spare parts inventory management, including obtaining quotations, negotiating pricing, and processing purchase orders.
• Assist the Technical Department in carrying out the company’s EHS initiatives and activities.

• Diploma/ Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of related working experience, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• At least a basic understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation. (with LEW certification will be an added advantage)
• Familiar with Risk Assessment and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Having AutoCAD knowledge and proficiency is an added advantage.
• With understanding of EHS practices, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards.

Our client is from Oil and Gas industry, a local leading player. They are looking for a Senior Engineer, Instrumentation & Control for the next phase of their business. They are located in West.

Duties:

• Provide technical support for Production and Maintenance teams on instrument-related issues.
• Work with teams to reduce instrument maintenance costs and improve functionality.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders on gas pipeline networks, electrical grids, instruments, and metering interfaces.
• Update maintenance procedures for instruments, PLC, Fire & Gas systems, ESD, metering, CCTV, and security equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis for instrument incidents and recommend preventive actions.
• Implement MOC projects to enhance instrument reliability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure verification, inspection, testing, and certification of electrical and instrument equipment in hazardous areas.
• Support maintenance and major equipment turnarounds.
• Manage the functional safety lifecycle of SIS in the terminal.
• Assist in expansion projects, ensuring facility integrity and seamless integration.
• Participate in emergency response with designated roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Min Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field.
• Min 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
• Experience in instrument & control maintenance
