Role Summary

The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale, highly critical infrastructure program spanning on‑premises, security, monitoring and ITSM platforms. The role oversees complex, multi‑phase implementation activities from design through implementation, testing, operational readiness and handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project planning and execution across infrastructure domains (compute, storage, network, security stack, Kubernetes platforms, monitoring, ITSM, backup and related tools) for a multi‑phase program.
• Develop and maintain the integrated project plan, including milestones across design, build, configuration, integration, testing and final handover.
• Collaborate with the Project Director to prepare concise, outcome‑focused status reports and presentations for the Project Steering Committee, highlighting key achievements, upcoming milestones, risks and required decisions.

• Use project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, or equivalent) to manage epics, user stories, tasks, RAID logs and to provide real‑time visibility of project progress and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a structured RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) register; proactively track project risks, perform impact assessment and define/drive mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Oversee change management and release planning in coordination with operations and security teams, ensuring adherence to governance, compliance and audit requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation is produced and maintained (HLD/LLD, implementation runbooks, cutover plans, test plans, configuration baselines, operational handover documents).
• Support budget tracking, forecasting and vendor effort validation in collaboration with the Project Director and PMO.
• Ensure readiness of operations teams through training, knowledge transfer and clear definition of support models, SLAs and escalation paths before handover.

Stakeholder & Communication Focus

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders along with the Project Director (CIO/CTO office, infrastructure and security heads, application owners, operations leads) to ensure alignment to strategic objectives and risk appetite.
• Prepare clear, executive‑level updates and dashboards for Steering Committee meetings, focusing on scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and decision points.
• Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams and external vendors/OEMs, ensuring expectations, timelines and responsibilities are clearly understood and agreed.
• Facilitate resolution of cross‑team issues and conflicts, escalating promptly to the Project Director or Steering Committee when necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10–15 years of proven experience managing large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure projects or programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects that span multiple technology domains such as data center infrastructure, network and security, virtualization/hypervisors, Kubernetes or container platforms, security tooling (HSM, PAM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, DLP), monitoring/observability (e.g. Splunk, AppDynamics) and ITSM platforms (e.g. BMC Helix, OpenText).
• Strong track record in managing a broad stakeholder landscape including internal leadership, cross‑functional technical teams and multiple external vendors and partners.
• Strong ability to develop and oversee detailed project budgets, track actual costs against forecasts, optimize resource allocation, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure delivery remains within approved financial and resourcing constraints.
• Experienced using modern project management and workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent) for planning, tracking, reporting and dependency management.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex technical topics into concise messages for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, budget, schedules, governance and reporting

• Coordinate delivery across compute, storage, network, database and security domains

Project-Specific Requirements

Work closely with the various platform and application teams to:

• Establish like-for-like Production and DR environments across all infrastructure components

• Deliver DR uplift across compute, virtualization, storage, network, database, backup and security

• Ensure full VM replication and database synchronization between Production and DR

• Build DR network capability including routers, firewalls and load balancers

• Implement backup and recovery capability including independent DR execution

• Support onboarding of Tier 1–Tier 4 systems with dependency alignment

• Manage DR capability to sustain operations for up to 7 days during disruption scenarios

• Coordinate performance testing, system validation and failover readiness

• Manage delivery risks such as hardware supply constraints and vendor delays

Key Deliverables

• Successful delivery of DR infrastructure uplift within 18 months timeline

• Full Production-DR alignment across infrastructure domains

• Completion of DR simulation and certification exercises

• Compliance with regulatory and resilience requirements

Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years of experience delivering Data Centre / Infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of compute, storage, network, virtualization, DB and security

• Experience delivering DR, resilience or infrastructure transformation programs

• Proven experience managing multi-vendor delivery environments

• Strong stakeholder, communication, planning and execution skills

• Ability to manage high-risk delivery programs

Education & Certification

• Degree in Information Technology or related discipline

• Mandatory: Professional Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince2 or equivalent)

• Formulate, implement, and promote compliance with project policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Review and ensure project-specific management systems and documentation are properly implemented
• Set clear objectives and targets for key project processes, ensuring consistency with strategic goals
• Ensure that the project is constructed in compliance with the specification and drawings to minimise any rework during both the construction and defectliability periods
• Assign responsibilities to project team members and ensure effective coordination of site activities
• Support manpower planning and ensure deployment of competent personnel in line with project requirements

• Identify and address potential problems that could affect the project deadlines
• Review and manage monthly costs, identifying areas of cost overruns and implementing the necessary control to keep within budget

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure works, or projects of similar scale, complexity, and nature.
• Familiar with safety procedures and requirements at construction sites.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the construction industry.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple parties.
• 6 days work week.
