Key Responsibilities
A. System Architecture & Technical Leadership

About The Role

At Alta, we are developing a suite of platforms and services that form the backbone of our operations. Brokerage: A rich and evolving web experience designed to cater to diverse investors, focusing on alternative assets across all classes through insightful, data-driven dashboards and deep asset analysis. Back-Office Operations Platform: A robust platform that integrates with numerous third-party service providers in KYC, payments, and settlement, along with ready integration with our internal systems to streamline operations across various departments. As an engineer, both hands-on development and technical leadership are big parts of the job. You’ll be a key technical stakeholder in our feature planning process, helping to map complex business requirements to technical solutions and offering your ideas and opinions.

• Working on one or more of our technical teams as a key contributor to our code base, as a technical advisor and a thought leader
• Participating in code reviews within and outside of your team to help continuously improve the quality of our code

As our Software Engineer, we know you’ll be doing significant learning on the job. That said, we’re hoping you’ll bring:

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience in multiple object-oriented and/or functional programming languages. We’re language-agnostic in our hiring, but have JavaScript/Node, Rails, Python and others in our ecosystem stack
• A strong sense of what it takes to build a scalable, secure and cloud-native application architecture
• Able to choose the right coding pattern for the job, including around building easily testable code (if not via pure TDD, at least leveraging those principles)
• Good experience with source control systems like Github or Bitbucket, and how they work within a team
• Strong code review habits, leading by example on being proactive and constructive with comments and conversations among your peers
• Excellent knowledge data modeling in both relational and non-relational databases
• Good familiarity with service-oriented architectures and API-driven system design

Job Description

• Support network infrastructure projects, provide support to resolve network incidents and issues, provide post-cutover support for various projects as directed by IT Network team.
• Participate in project meetings, discussions, and hand over of projects. Including draft, review and submit project related documents/reports/ metrics as and when required.
• Troubleshoot project related issues and resolve such issues, manage and monitor system utilization and performance during pre-project and post-project cutover and any other tasks or works as and when requested and assigned by the Company.
• Work closely with project teams to understand network requirements and objectives, ensuring seamless integration of network infrastructure within the integrated resort. –
• Provide comprehensive support and administration for the entire project, encompassing Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.

• Configure Multicasting Protocols to ensure efficient multicast traffic distribution.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in project-oriented environments
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IP Multicast, Policy Routing).
• Experience in Layer 3 Routing and Layer 2 Switching, with strong expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco devices.
• Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation, including LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
• Skilled in deploying Layer-2 technologies like VLANs, VTP,STP, RSTP, Inter-VLAN routing, VLAN Trunking, Ether Channels, VLAN access-maps, and port security.

As a Software Engineer within HR Singapore, you will strive to deliver Digital Products and Services hosted on Cloud Platforms that delight customers and users. You will be working with AGILE methodologies, where knowledge of Cloud technologies, Data Analytics, Site Reliability and DevSecOps principles will be an asset to the team.

Focusing on our Digital Products, you will be working collaboratively in an international context to ensure development and support of the solution. From UX design, clean coding, QA, deployment on cloud platform and service delivery you will be directly contributing to all aspects of defining and delivery core new products for the business.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance activities in a safe manner align with the Health and Safety Requirement of the company.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that plant equipment and auxiliary systems continue to operate smoothly and efficiently.
• Perform repair or replacement of defective or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting - assisting and supporting engineers in rectifying/improving plant assets.
• Assist with the supervision of contractors involved in maintenance on site and maintain asset maintenance plans.
• Attend to work orders allocated by Mechanical Engineers.

Qualifications

• Nitec/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in Power Plants, Petrochemical Plants or related industries will be advantageous.
