As our Software Engineer, we know you’ll be doing significant learning on the job. That said, we’re hoping you’ll bring:

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience in multiple object-oriented and/or functional programming languages. We’re language-agnostic in our hiring, but have JavaScript/Node, Rails, Python and others in our ecosystem stack
• A strong sense of what it takes to build a scalable, secure and cloud-native application architecture
• Able to choose the right coding pattern for the job, including around building easily testable code (if not via pure TDD, at least leveraging those principles)
• Good experience with source control systems like Github or Bitbucket, and how they work within a team
• Strong code review habits, leading by example on being proactive and constructive with comments and conversations among your peers
• Excellent knowledge data modeling in both relational and non-relational databases
• Good familiarity with service-oriented architectures and API-driven system design

Job Description

• Support network infrastructure projects, provide support to resolve network incidents and issues, provide post-cutover support for various projects as directed by IT Network team.
• Participate in project meetings, discussions, and hand over of projects. Including draft, review and submit project related documents/reports/ metrics as and when required.
• Troubleshoot project related issues and resolve such issues, manage and monitor system utilization and performance during pre-project and post-project cutover and any other tasks or works as and when requested and assigned by the Company.
• Work closely with project teams to understand network requirements and objectives, ensuring seamless integration of network infrastructure within the integrated resort. –
• Provide comprehensive support and administration for the entire project, encompassing Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Implement and manage network solutions to support project initiatives, prioritizing scalability, performance, and robust security. -Configure and optimize network devices, including routers and switches.
• Configure Multicasting Protocols to ensure efficient multicast traffic distribution.
• Conduct thorough network assessments, identifying potential improvements and upgrades to align with project goals.

Key Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in project-oriented environments
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and architectures (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IP Multicast, Policy Routing).
• Experience in Layer 3 Routing and Layer 2 Switching, with strong expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco devices.
• Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation, including LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
• Skilled in deploying Layer-2 technologies like VLANs, VTP,STP, RSTP, Inter-VLAN routing, VLAN Trunking, Ether Channels, VLAN access-maps, and port security.
• Solid experience in switching-related tasks, including implementing VLANs, VTP, RSTP, STP, and port security.
• Familiarity with network security principles, including firewalls, IDS, NAC, and access control.

As a Software Engineer within HR Singapore, you will strive to deliver Digital Products and Services hosted on Cloud Platforms that delight customers and users. Ready to be flexible and proactive, whilst being comfortable with learning a new domain, concepts and techniques. You will be working with AGILE methodologies, where knowledge of Cloud technologies, Data Analytics, Site Reliability and DevSecOps principles will be an asset to the team.

Focusing on our Digital Products, you will be working collaboratively in an international context to ensure development and support of the solution. From UX design, clean coding, QA, deployment on cloud platform and service delivery you will be directly contributing to all aspects of defining and delivery core new products for the business.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Strong knowledge of virtualization and containerization, cloud hosting (eg. AZURE), clustered deployment orchestration (eg. Kubernetes), containers (eg. Docker) and Pivotal Cloud Foundry
• Strong experience with large data storage and analytics platforms (Datalake) and data manipulation tooling, e.g. Kibana, Elasicsearch/ELK, Spark, etc.
• Experience deploying tool chains for CI/CD and automated SW testing and deployment, with hands-on software design and development experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Python, SQL, JavaScript & frameworks and similar technologies.
• Knowledgeable of the Agile, DevSecOps and SRE Process and Practices
• Strong Analytics and Data literacy skills,
• Basic network knowledge, including cloud network configuration, layer 2 and 3 network configuration
• Basic knowledge on cyber security, including static and dynamic code scanning, software and hardware hardening, network traffic control, authentication framework,

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience railway signaling, air traffic, avionics or similar critical system domains.
• UX designed experience, specifically Data Analysis, Dashboards and Data Visualization.
