Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Building Management System (BMS) Engineer to support the design, implementation, and commissioning of smart building and facility automation systems in Singapore. The successful candidate will be involved in engineering design, system programming, testing and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and smart infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced building automation technologies including HVAC automation, IoT sensors, energy monitoring systems, and smart building platforms.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering
- Design and develop Building Management System (BMS) architecture for HVAC and facility monitoring systems.
- Prepare technical documentation including I/O lists, system architecture diagrams, control schematics, and network topology
- Select appropriate controllers, sensors, and field devices.
Programming & Integration
- Configure and program DDC controllers and BMS software platforms.
- Integrate systems using industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and OPC
- Interface BMS with building systems including HVAC equipment, lighting controls, power meters, and various sensors.
System Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct system testing, point-to-point verification, and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project implementation.
- Support system handover and provide user training to clients.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and consultants.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical coordination.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for BMS systems.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and optimization.
Requirements
Education
Diploma or Degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Building Services Engineering
- Automation Engineering
- or related field
Work Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, or building automation.
- Fresh graduates with relevant training in automation or building services are welcome to apply.
Technical Skills
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Building automation systems
- HVAC control systems (AHU, FCU, Chiller plant)
- Industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus)
- DDC controllers and BMS software platforms
Experience with BMS platform(s) is an advantage such as:
- Honeywell
- Loytec
- Delta Electronics
- Johnson Controls
Soft Skills
