Beautician duties and responsibilities

Receiving customer bookings and arranging appointments over the phone

• Receiving and greeting walk-in customers on arrival
• Providing skincare guidelines to customers
• Providing deep tissue, hot stone, Indian head and Swedish massage
• Cleaning and sterilising beauty treatment equipment
• Performing brow tinting, manicures and nail extensions
• Keeping track of lotions, nail polishes, facial creams, and other beauty products
• Recognising problems and referring customers to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, chiropractors and physiotherapists or other medical practitioners
• Collaborating with the staff to keep the work area clean and create a pleasant atmosphere for the clients

You have to be being pleasant, tactful and sensitive to customers looking for body and facial treatments. You must also be familiar with skincare therapies such as peeling, exfoliation and moisturisation.

• Working knowledge of beauty, wellness and cosmetic products
• Ability to assess and identify skin imperfections
• Ability to perform waxing, pedicure, manicures and nail reconstruction
• Ability to offer personalised beauty services
• Knowledge of make-up application and relaxing massage techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude

Provide consistent professional spa massage (either body or foot) in accordance with spa standards.

Ensure a high level of service standards

Responsible for the maintenance of cleanliness and neatness of the spa facilities, treatment rooms, and other parts of the spa.

Responsible for preparing the necessary treatment products, replenishment of stocks, towels supply, etc.

Handle customer queries and concerns efficiently and politely

Follow and comply with the instructions given by the Spa Manager

Job Description & Requirements

Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner

Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products

Keep documentation and maintain clients files

Keep a clean and stocked room

Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations

Suggest and promote retail products or additional services

Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations

Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues

Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends

Requirements and skills

Proven work experience as a Spa Therapist

Hands on experience in massage techniques, manicures, pedicures, waxing and face/body therapies

Experience in sales will be considered an asset

Excellent knowledge of English language

Communication and customer service skills

Positive attitude

User level computer skills

• Responsible for the reception of all visitors, patients and callers to the Clinic and create a professional and welcoming image for the clinic
• Responsible for updating patients’ information and sending reminders for dental treatment
• Responsible for gathering patients’ feedback forms and handling patient feedback
• Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare treatment rooms as needed
• Ensure the appropriate supply of equipment and materials
• Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist
• Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room
• At least 2 years experiences

Client Consultations: Greet guests, assess their needs, and review health histories for contraindications like allergies or high blood pressure.

Perform Treatments: Deliver high-quality spa services, including deep tissue massages, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, and skincare treatments.

Sanitation & Upkeep: Sanitize equipment, change linens, and maintain clean, well-stocked treatment rooms and relaxation areas.

Sales & Recommendations: Educate guests on products used during treatments and promote spa packages or retail offerings.

Guest Relations: Address client concerns and ensure guest comfort, safety, and security throughout their visit.
