Job Summary 

We are looking for a Senior QC Equipment Qualification Specialist / Lead to manage qualification, lifecycle management, and decommissioning activities for Quality Control laboratory equipment within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. 

This role will take ownership of qualification strategy, project execution, documentation compliance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across laboratory equipment lifecycle activities. The successful candidate will act as a senior technical contributor and coordination lead, working closely with QC, Validation, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and external vendors to ensure equipment systems remain compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with site and regulatory expectations. 

Your Missions 

• Lead qualification activities for QC laboratory equipment in accordance with GMP, validation lifecycle, and site change control requirements. 

• Own and manage equipment qualification lifecycle activities including IQ, OQ, PQ, requalification, periodic review, and decommissioning where applicable. 

• Define project strategies, implementation plans, timelines, risk mitigation approaches, and resource coordination for qualification and decommissioning projects. 

• Lead decommissioning activities for QC laboratory equipment in accordance with approved procedures, compliance requirements, and site quality standards. 

• Author, review, and approve qualification protocols, reports, SOPs, risk assessments, traceability matrices, and training materials. 

• Provide technical guidance on deviations, investigations, CAPA, change control, and impact assessments related to laboratory equipment and qualification processes. 

• Review validation and qualification documentation to ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, data integrity, and regulatory expectations. 

• Partner closely with QC, Validation, Engineering, Quality Assurance, IT, and external vendors to drive timely and compliant project execution. 

• Ensure documentation traceability, inspection readiness, and lifecycle compliance for laboratory equipment systems. 

• Support and coordinate laboratory equipment integration activities where applicable, including LabX connectivity or related laboratory data systems. 

• Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, action items, and implementation progress to ensure delivery within timelines. 

• Act as a subject matter expert for QC laboratory equipment qualification, lifecycle management, and compliance-related discussions. 

Your Profile 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline. 

• 10+ years of experience in equipment qualification, validation, commissioning, lifecycle management, or compliance within GMP-regulated manufacturing or laboratory environments. 

• Strong experience managing QC laboratory equipment qualification and validation activities. 

• Solid understanding of GMP, GDP, data integrity, validation lifecycle, change control, deviation, CAPA, risk assessment, and audit readiness requirements. 

• Proven experience authoring, reviewing, and leading qualification protocols, reports, SOPs, risk assessments, validation plans, and related compliance documentation. 

• Experience managing qualification or decommissioning projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and timelines. 

• Familiarity with analytical or laboratory equipment such as continuous flow analysers, nitrogen analysers, TOC systems, gas generators, analytical balances, microbalances, or similar laboratory instrumentation would be an advantage. 

• Experience with laboratory system integration platforms such as LabX or related laboratory software systems is preferred.

Role Summary

You will lead efforts to optimize tool performance and ensure high availability across assigned modules (Diffusion, Etch—Dry & Wet, Photolithography, Metrology, Physical Vapor Deposition, Thin Film—CVD, or CMP). This role holds ownership of maintenance strategy, advanced failure diagnostics, and the deployment of robust, long-term solutions to consistently meet or exceed uptime and cycle time targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-duty operations and oversee structured alarm response, driving rapid root cause identification and resolution of critical equipment issues.
• Govern tool handovers and maintenance reporting in strict alignment with cleanroom protocols and compliance standards.
• Provide technical leadership in tool operation and maintenance while partnering cross-functionally with engineering teams to elevate performance, reliability, and availability.
• Own spare parts strategy, including inventory optimization and vendor/contractor engagement for timely replacement and advanced technical support.
• Direct and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for advanced 300mm semiconductor equipment within the assigned process module.
• Operate with accountability in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including rotating day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences

• Diploma’s or higher degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or STEM related fields
• Experience in a 12’’ (300mm) fab environment is highly preferred.

Job Description

• Prepare and review Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) Works specifications.
• Assist the ICA Lead and manage the engineering design works for the Control System Architecture, Data Communication Networks, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Programmable Logic Controller / Distributed Control System (PLC/DCS), DDC (Direct Digital Control) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and any other ICA Works as required.
• Handle equipment package and procurement including technical specifications preparation, technical clarification, technical bid analysis, etc.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including internal teams of different trades, clients, consultants, other packages contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to ensure success of the project.
• Prepare, review and liaison with subcontractor(s) in the design and submission, ensuring allproject specifications and design standards are met.
• Work with cross function project team to support project activities, i.e. schedule, process, progress claims, work progress, etc.
• Manage and supervise the project execution, site installation, inspection, testing and commissioning, plant proving related to Instrumentation, Control and automation system and interface works with other disciplines and all stakeholders.
• Attend to clients’ comments and ensure clients’ approval & acceptance to all ICA related design, installation and Testing & Commissioning Works.
• Resolve the site technical related matters.
• Design, Engineering, FAT, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of System Control PLC/DCS, DDC and SCADA, Input / Output list, Data Communication Network for ICA, BMS, ACMV, Fire Alarm Panels, Instrumentation, FAT and SAT of Interfacing Panels, Instruments, Pumps, Cable Support System, Cabling & Termination Works.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering /Mechatronics /Advanced Diploma in Process Control and Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of ICA Works. Candidate with more than 5 years experiences can be considered as senior level.
• Experience in Selection, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Instrumentation.
• Experience in ICA engineering Works, preferably in water/wastewater projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Programming of PLC/DCS, DDC and SCADA will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the system of Building Management (BMS), Fire Alarm, One-Way and Two- Way, ELV, ACMV will be preferred.
• Experience in ICA, BMS, Fire Alarm, One-Way and Two-Way, ELV, ACMV panel design will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Project Execution, Supervising and Coordination with subcontractors, consultant and Client.
• Good knowledge in Autocad 2D, familiar with Microstation and Autocad 3D software will be an added advantage.
• Good technical understanding and experience in water, wastewater and environmental engineering works.
