Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an Adjunct Lecturer (Design Thinking and Application), Centre for Lifelong Education at the Centre for Lifelong Education (CLE).

Established in 2005, NAFA’s Centre for Lifelong Education is Singapore’s leading institute for continuing education and training in arts, design and media. Its courses offer opportunities to upskill, reskill and develop new hobbies, through our short courses and certificate courses.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

1. Undertake contact/teaching hours per week in one of the following unit(s)/component(s):

• Design Thinking and Application

2. Design, prepare and develop documents such as lesson plans and assessment descriptors as well as teaching resources/materials

3. Plan and supervise a variety of activities such as projects, productions, collaborations, etc.

4. Supervise and assess students’ assignments/works/projects

5. Prepare and maintain records relating to students’ progress, performance, and attendance

6. Contribute to the review of the assigned unit(s)/component(s)

7. Mentor and provide academic care and support, including career guidance to students

8. Keep up to date on the development of discipline related teaching practices and learning strategies

9. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

1. Minimum Degree, or related discipline

2. WSQ Advance Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or WSQ Advance Certificate in Learning and Performance will be desirable

3. Minimum 5 years of teaching and relevant working experience

4. Ability to teach online via MS Teams, Zoom, Canvas and/or other relevant applications is preferred

5. Positive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented with the ability to engage adult learners

6. Excellent command of written and spoken English

7. A team player with good interpersonal skills

8. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and analytical skills

About the Role

We’re looking for a Learning Experience Developer (LXD) to help us reimagine how professional training is designed, delivered, and experienced.
This role sits at the intersection of education, design, and technology. You’ll work closely with trainers, subject-matter experts, and internal teams to turn complex training content into engaging, learner-centred experiences — across digital, blended, and in-class formats.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop engaging learning experiences for professional and safety-related training programmes

• Transform traditional training materials into modern, structured, and interactive formats (e-learning, videos, activities, assessments)

• Apply learning design principles such as adult learning, instructional design, microlearning, and experiential learning

• Collaborate with trainers and subject-matter experts to structure content logically and effectively

• Support the development of digital learning assets including slides, storyboards, scripts, LMS content, and simple interactive modules

• Continuously review and improve learning materials based on feedback, outcomes, and learner behaviour

• Stay curious about new learning technologies, tools, and methods — and test what works

What We’re Looking For

• Background in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Education, Psychology, Communications, or related fields

• Strong interest in learning experience, education technology, or digital training

• Ability to break down complex information into clear, engaging learning flows

• Comfortable working with digital tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Canva, LMS platforms, basic video or authoring tools)

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders

• Detail-oriented, structured, and thoughtful in your approach to learning design

• Curious, proactive, and open to experimentation

Fresh graduates with strong portfolios, internships, or project experience are welcome.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Rise, H5P)

• Basic understanding of UX or content design

• Experience designing training, workshops, or educational content

• Interest in workplace learning, professional training, or EdTech

• Monitor training effectiveness of programmes delivered
• Perform training administration duties and maintain training records
• Maintain and develop internal support to achieve service quality standards
• Accompany evaluations with meaningful and constructive feedback
• Analyze service metrics to identify service gaps and call for improvement
• Monitor and evaluate customer service performance on front liner and team level to induce excellence service standard
• Maintain library of training resources and aids
• Actively support and recommend continuous improvement pertaining to training processes
• Contribute to the team culture in a positive manner
