Role & Responsibilities
1. Programme Co-ordination:
Provide logistic support for activities and wellness programmes that focus on building the elderly’s self-help capacity including:
- On-site active ageing programmes which may be recreational/social and cognitive in nature, sometimes in collaboration with external providers
- Organising and participating in community events, outings and outreach events, such as door-knocking to engage community seniors
2. Administrative Duties
- Maintain a daily register of seniors who participate in activities and programmes at the Centre, for submission if necessary
- Assist with money collection, issue receipts, maintenance of petty cash and requisition of Centre supplies
- Provide support to the Centre cleaner to promote and maintain cleanliness of the Centre
- Ensure Centre maintenance tasks are done regularly, e.g. aircon servicing, LEW reviews, etc.
3. Volunteer Engagement
- Encourage senior participation and volunteerism through promotion of senior initiation and implementation of ideas and activities
- Assist Volunteer Management Executive to engage volunteers to run programmes and activities
4. Outreach and Befriending Services
- Conduct wellness assessments of seniors
- Assign befrienders to provide befriending services to socially isolated seniors
- Onward referrals to case management executive for service linkage and care coordination, when required
Qualifications, Competencies &Experience
· Any relevant Diploma in social services
· Good interpersonal and communications skills
· Team player
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
