Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and oversee mill operations to achieve production targets efficiently and safely.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mill performance and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical expertise on milling and processing technologies, machinery optimization, and engineering solutions.
• Manage maintenance planning and troubleshooting to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Develop and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of responsibility, discipline, and high performance.
• Prepare and present operational reports, production data, and performance analysis to management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the industrial sector, preferably in palm oil mills, kernel crushing plants, refineries, or oleochemical plants.
• Must possess a 1st Grade Steam Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
• Strong knowledge of the latest milling and processing technologies.
• Ability to drive continuous system and process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
• Strong leadership skills with dynamic qualities and the ability to manage diverse teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) for construction and development projects.
• Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Draft and review tender documents, contracts, and project timelines to ensure all aspects are covered.
• Visit project sites regularly to check progress, verify completed work, and assist with claims and valuations.
• Handle interim valuations, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project costs and ensure everything stays within the approved budget.
• Work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve any issues related to cost or contracts.
• Offer cost-saving suggestions and value engineering ideas to improve efficiency and reduce project costs.
• Keep accurate records of all cost-related documentation and ensure everything is organized.
• Assist with post-project evaluations to help improve future planning and cost management processes.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QS work
• Good knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and site operations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX is a plus).
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to travel for site visits and meetings when required.
