Location: Sabah
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and oversee mill operations to achieve production targets efficiently and safely.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Identify, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mill performance and reduce downtime.
Provide technical expertise on milling and processing technologies, machinery optimization, and engineering solutions.
Manage maintenance planning and troubleshooting to ensure smooth plant operations.
Develop and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of responsibility, discipline, and high performance.
Prepare and present operational reports, production data, and performance analysis to management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the industrial sector, preferably in palm oil mills, kernel crushing plants, refineries, or oleochemical plants.
Must possess a 1st Grade Steam Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
Strong knowledge of the latest milling and processing technologies.
Ability to drive continuous system and process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
Strong leadership skills with dynamic qualities and the ability to manage diverse teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ) for construction and development projects.
Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Draft and review tender documents, contracts, and project timelines to ensure all aspects are covered.
Visit project sites regularly to check progress, verify completed work, and assist with claims and valuations.
Handle interim valuations, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to keep projects on track.
Monitor project costs and ensure everything stays within the approved budget.
Work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve any issues related to cost or contracts.
Offer cost-saving suggestions and value engineering ideas to improve efficiency and reduce project costs.
Keep accurate records of all cost-related documentation and ensure everything is organized.
Assist with post-project evaluations to help improve future planning and cost management processes.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in QS work
Good knowledge of construction materials, contracts, and site operations.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QS software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX is a plus).
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
Willing to travel for site visits and meetings when required.
