Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory

• Provide timely and practical legal advice to management and business units on commercial, operational, regulatory, and corporate matters.
• Advise on legal risks associated with certification, testing, inspection, auditing, and assurance services.
• Support strategic business initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships.
• Available to provide timely legal and strategic support to senior management, including after-office hours when required, to address urgent business matters and critical inquiries.

Commercial Contracts

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
• Certification and inspection service agreements
• Customer contracts
• Supplier and vendor agreements
• Distribution and partnership agreements
• Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
• Consultancy and professional services agreements
• Develop and maintain contract templates and legal policies.

Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation

• Advise on compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting certification and conformity assessment activities.
• Support accreditation audits and regulatory inspections.
• Develop compliance frameworks and internal controls.

Corporate Governance

• Provide support on corporate governance matters and board-related activities.
• Draft board resolutions, corporate documents, and governance policies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Manage legal disputes, complaints, investigations, and litigation matters.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulatory authorities when required.
• Support insurance and liability management matters.

Intellectual Property & Data Protection

• Advise on intellectual property protection, licensing, trademarks, copyrights, and technology agreements.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and data protection regulations.
• Support cybersecurity and information governance initiatives.

Employment & HR Support

• Provide legal support on employment-related matters, including:
• Employment contracts
• Workplace investigations
• Employee disciplinary matters
• Terminations and restructuring exercises
• Advise on labor law compliance and HR policies.

Training & Policy Development

• Develop and deliver legal and compliance training programs.
• Draft and update company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Promote legal awareness and compliance culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a recognized jurisdiction.
• Master's degree or professional certification will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 10–15 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Experience in certification, testing, inspection, assurance, compliance, quality systems, manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, life sciences, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting regional or multinational operations.
• In-house legal counsel experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of commercial law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract management.
• Familiarity with certification and conformity assessment frameworks, accreditation standards, and regulatory environments.

We are seeking a Credit Controller for managing the Accounts Receivable (AR) portfolio, overseeing credit control activities, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role works closely with the sales, operations, and management teams to maintain healthy cash flow, ensure compliance with company credit policies, and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) and credit control functions, ensuring effective management of customer credit exposure and timely collection of outstanding debts.

• Monitor customer credit limits and review accounts that exceed approved credit terms, recommending appropriate actions to management.

• Review and evaluate customer credit applications before submission for management approval.

• Manage account blocking and unblocking based on payment status and credit policy requirements.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce aging balances.

• Prepare, analyze, and present AR aging reports and credit control reports for management review and decision-making.

• Work closely with the sales team to review customer accounts, resolve credit-related issues, and support collection activities.

• Communicate with customers regarding overdue balances, payment reminders.

• Ensure timely issuance of customer Statements of Account (SOA) and maintain accurate customer account records.

• Review and update bad debt provisions, bad debt expenses, and related General Ledger (GL) reconciliations.

• Coordinate debt recovery activities, including engaging debt collection agencies, preparing documentation for Small Claims Tribunal cases, and liaising with legal counsel on debt recovery matters.

• Prepare supporting documents and coordinate with internal stakeholders for court hearings and legal proceedings when required.

• Conduct credit control orientation and training for new sales personnel and provide ongoing guidance on company credit policies and procedures.

• Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

• Review Deferred Income balances and prepare the necessary accounting entries for income recognition and year-end reporting.

• Identify potential credit risks and escalate critical issues to management with recommendations for resolution.

• Perform any other credit control, accounts receivable, and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.

• Strong understanding of credit management, debt recovery processes, and accounting principles.

• Experience handling legal recovery cases and debt collection agencies will be an added advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
