Summary of Job Description
The SVP will report to the CEO and be responsible for the overall sales comprising Travel, Hotels & Related Services. It is expected for the SVP to oversee and be responsible for the growth of the various business segments globally with particular emphasis on corporate travel sales in Asia.
The incumbent is expected to develop sales strategies and oversee the implementation of these strategies across the business verticals globally. The SVP will be required to closely collaborate with business partners from the travel industries like hotels, travel agents, attractions and transport operators to grow its proprietary B2B and B2C platform and application.
To be cognizant and forward thinking and have working knowledge of the tourism and travel industries including travel related products and corporate sales.
Essential functions
· Ability to set key performance benchmarks for sales and achieve YOY targets;
· Proven track record in the travel and corporate sales industries;
· To assist the CEO in identifying, strategising and promoting the business segments including implementation of the strategies to further expand online and offline product offerings including B2B with travel agents, corporate and event sales (MICE);
Qualifications/Professional requirements
· Bachelor degree in sales, marketing, communication or equivalent qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates from the travel and/or travel products related industries;
· Minimally 15 years of sales experience in the travel industry and/or major hotels, airlines, international or regional sales offices or travel agencies;
· In-depth knowledge of travel product offerings including hotels, attractions and transport services will be required, prior overseas postings will be favourably considered;
· Experience in dealing with business partners including hotels, Attractions and travel agents will be required;
· Exhibits strong integrity, teamwork and trust attributes including management skills;
· Position is based in Singapore but travel will be required.
Remuneration:
Remuneration will commensurate with experience. For the appropriate candidate share options are negotiable.
