Specialist – Emergency & CriticalCare (“ECC”)
No emergency centre/ICU can operate withoutan awesome leader. You will be working with our other Critical Care Specialist andsetting the standards for veterinarians and nurses, while collaborating with otherspecialties.
The position will involve training, guidingand mentoring veterinarians in the ECC team in addition to taking primaryresponsibility for cases. Full-time hours will include day and night shifts,weekends and public holidays on a rotational roster. Shifts are mostly 12 hoursaveraging 3 days per week, allowing more days off per week.
What Do You Have
• Possessa veterinary degree or qualifications registrable with the Agri-Food andVeterinary Authority (AVA)
• Boardcertification recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), AustralasianVeterinary Boards Council (AVBC) or American Veterinary Medical Association(AVMA)
• Successfullytrained, guided and mentored veterinarians in the past/present
• Stillget excited when you pull a rubber ducky out of the oesophagus, stomach orduodenum (basically ECC excites you)
• Experiencedin performing surgeries
• Strongwork ethic and a team-player
• Compassionand willingness to put patient care first
• Brilliantclient communication skills, both written and spoken
Senior Veterinarian – Emergency &Critical Care (“ECC”)
Senior veterinarians are not just clinicalwhizzes but also form a key part of providing coverage for our juniorveterinarians. Full-time hours willinclude day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotationalroster. Shifts are mostly 12 hours averaging 3 days per week, allowing moredays off per week.
What Do You Have
• Possessa veterinary degree or qualifications registrable with the Agri-Food andVeterinary Authority (AVA)
• Atleast 7 years’ working experience in an ECC setting
• Postgraduate qualifications e.g. memberships or advanced veterinary practicecertificate, other relevant experiences would also be taken into consideration
• Strongwork ethic and a team-player
• Compassionand willingness to put patient care first
• Brilliantclient communication skills, both written and spoken
