Job Overview :
The Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing part replacements, and utilizing basic electrical and instrument knowledge to diagnose and resolve system faults. The Technician will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably, conduct regular inspections, execute preventive maintenance schedules, and maintain effective communication with engineers and clients to report work progress and resolve technical concerns, ensuring minimal operational downtime.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve technical faults by applying mechanical, electrical and instrument knowledge, including diagnosis control system issues.
- Component Replacement: Execute parts replacement and system adjustments as required to maintain equipment performance standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, logbooks, and inspection reports for all maintenance activities performed.
- Communication & Liaison: Maintain proactive communication with engineers and clients regarding work progress, technical findings, and project status updates.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to site safety protocols and quality standards during all technical operations and maintenance tasks.
- Resource Management: Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and used efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
Qualifications, skills and competencies
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field. Previous experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC maintenance is highly preferred
Experiences:
- System Maintenance: Previous experience in facility maintenance. Have done routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs on industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting: Previous experience in leading or is part of team involved in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical faults in cooling equipment and control systems.
- Electrical & Instrumentation: Previous experience in applying basic electrical and instrument knowledge to resolve electrical & system controls issues.
- Preference for candidates with deep electrical & instrument knowledge & experience in setting up HMI / PLC system.
- Technical Reporting: Capable of maintaining service logs, inspection reports, and communicating work progress accurately.
