Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in supporting the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff, assisting with the preparation, cooking, and plating of high-quality dishes while developing leadership and culinary skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook dishes to brand standards and recipes.
• Support junior and entry-level kitchen staff, providing guidance and mentoring.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and food hygiene standards.
• Assist in menu planning, recipe execution, and kitchen efficiency improvements.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Rotating roster including breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays

The Tour Guide position is all about:

• Understand the detail of permits to operate tours and ensure departments compliance with the conditions of permits through operational activities
• Present information and interpretation on all tours to the required standard
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of vehicles/vessels prior to conducting tours and prior to the completion of shift
• Ensure personal presentation and grooming is to the required standard (refer to company grooming policy)
• Proactively participate in Tour department briefings
• Actively support indigenous engagement and employment within the department
• Deliver tourism experiences that increase visitor numbers and extend visitor stay
• Upsell other services and facilities of the property/park to visitors and guests at all opportunities
• Demonstrate awareness of WH&S standards and procedures
• Participate in scheduled operation procedure and training

We are currently looking for a passionate and driven individual to take on the role as a full-time receptionist (or Guest Service Agent) with the flexibility to work 5 shifts a week on a rotating roster which may include mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

The responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests and managing check-in/check-out procedures
• Handling reservations, inquiries, and guest requests
• Providing local knowledge and recommendations
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
• Resolving guest concerns with professionalism and care
• Supporting other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the front desk including check ins/outs, loyalty signups, reporting, and assisting with guest needs.
• You will supervise and manage the front office team while on shift, and will be responsible for effective onboarding and training. 
• Ensuring we create unforgettable guest service is delivered to each of our guests with a focus on driving loyalty.
• Most importantly you will effectively manage any emergency situations that arise within the Hotel, ensuring you follow Hotel procedures and processes.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts scheduled across breakfast and dinner periods
• Immediate start available

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $32.31 per hour

Saturday: $38.78 per hour

Sunday: $45.24 per hour
