JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong backend and infrastructure experience to lead complex, system-level initiatives across our software platform. This role owns end-to-end delivery of backend services, data pipelines, and infrastructure programs, ensuring work is predictable, scalable, and production-ready. The Technical Project Manager will operate at the core of our technical stack, partnering with Tech Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and Product teams to turn architectural vision into reliable execution.

This position is ideal for someone who understands how software is built, is able to design reliable delivery systems, and is able to lead teams through ambiguity toward achieving clear results.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning & Delivery

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.

• Build and manage detailed project delivery plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

• Apply Agile or hybrid delivery models effectively.

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and blockers.

Technical & Stakeholder Alignment

• Partner with Backend, Platform, DevOps, and SRE teams to align on architecture and execution.

• Act as the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Translate architectural intent into executable plans with the Tech Engineering team.

• Provide clear status, risks, and progress reporting to leadership. 

• Ensure feasibility, sequencing, and dependency management across systems.

Team Leadership

• Coach and develop team members to maximize impact and growth.

• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Support performance tracking and development planning.

• Ensure teams remain aligned with project goals and company direction.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify architectural, operational, and delivery risks early.

• Maintain risk registers, dependency maps, and mitigation plans.

• Drive early escalation on performance, reliability, and security risks.

• Ensure projects meet standards for availability, latency, security, and compliance.
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in technical project management in software development environments.

• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering.

• Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and service-oriented architectures.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiar with observability, reliability engineering, and production operations.

• Experience driving cross-team technical programs involving multiple services and infrastructure layers.

• Ability to translate complex system design into clear execution plans and business impact.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally and collaborate with offshore teams.

Job Description

You will lead end-to-end product delivery, from discovery through launch and measurement, while coaching client Product Managers to build lasting capability. This is a consultancy role: you own outcomes, not just outputs, and you bring the same rigour to enabling others as you do to shipping product.

• Identify riskiest assumptions and design validation initiatives; define OKRs and outcome-based roadmaps.
• Plan and run user research (interviews, usability tests) that validate or kill hypotheses before build.
• Define Product strategy, Story Mapping and writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria, facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Track delivery KPIs (velocity, cycle time), manage dependencies and mitigate risks proactively
• Define go-to-market strategies, measurement frameworks, and analytics instrumentation
• Analyse post-launch data and drive iterative improvements, facilitate retrospectives
• Coach client Product Managers through daily pairing, identify gaps and tailor enablement.
• Create psychologically safe environments for learning and collaboration
• Facilitate workshops, demos, and stakeholder alignment; navigate complex organizational dynamics

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years across the full product lifecycle, shipping end-to-end; track record of leading discovery and killing projects when evidence demands it.
• Experience enabling Product Managers or Owners through pairing or mentorship in a consultancy or client-facing context.
• Methods: Lean Startup, Continuous Discovery, OKRs, JTBD, Impact Mapping, outcome-based roadmaps.
• Mindset: Empathy, end-to-end ownership; intellectual humility to pivot; energised by enabling others as much as delivering yourself.
• Bonus: Familiarity with SG Gov ecosystem (SHIP-HATS, SG Tech Stack, GeBIZ) or prior experience with Singapore Government agencies.

You will lead user-centred design across the full product lifecycle. From generative research and concept validation through to delivery and post-launch iteration, while coaching client design teams to build lasting capability. This is a consultancy role: you champion users relentlessly, design at scale, and are as energised by enabling others as by crafting great design yourself.

• Plan and run generative and evaluative research (interviews, usability tests, field studies) to uncover real user problems.
• Synthesise insights into clear findings that shape product direction and validate or challenge assumptions.
• Lead design on cross-functional teams, from concept to high-fidelity, with a systems-thinking mindset and scalability in mind.
• Craft workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align teams around a coherent user experience.
• Design and run co-creation workshops: journey mapping, design studios, critiques with clients and mixed stakeholder groups.
• Present work to senior leadership; facilitate alignment sessions that drive decisions..
• Coach client designers through daily pairing; tailor enablement to individual strengths, gaps, and learning styles.
• Create psychological safety for teams to experiment, give constructive feedback, and continuously raise design craft.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years across the full design lifecycle User Centred Design mindset with experience in: user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and post-launch iteration in a consultancy or client-facing context.
• Proven experience enabling designers through pairing, workshops, or formal mentorship programs.
• Expert in Figma; proficient with prototyping tools and collaborative platforms; able to build and maintain design systems.
• Design Thinking, JTBD, Service Design, WCAG / inclusive design principles; evidence-based approach balancing qualitative and quantitative measures.
• Empathy, User advocate; intellectually humble enough to kill your own designs when research points elsewhere; thrives in ambiguous consultancy environments.
• Familiarity with SG Gov Design System (SGDS), SHIP-HATS, or prior work with Singapore Government agencies.
