Job description
We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager to oversee and drive all IT functions across a growing group of companies in the maritime and trading space.
 This role will manage daily IT operations while leading system improvements, cybersecurity, and infrastructure across multiple entities. You will play a key role in ensuring business-critical systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable.
Responsibilities and Duties
Infrastructure & Operations
·      Manage IT infrastructure including servers, cloud, and business systems
·      Oversee network performance (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, wireless)
·      Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance across all entities
·      Manage IT assets (laptops, work mobiles, licences) and standardisation
Cybersecurity & Compliance
·      Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures (endpoint protection, access controls, encryption)
·      Monitor and respond to security risks and vulnerabilities
·      Ensure compliance with PDPA and internal data protection policies
·      Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Systems & Projects
·      Lead IT projects (system implementation, ERP, cloud migration, digitalisation)
·      Support and improve finance, trading, and operational systems
·      Manage system integrations and process improvements
·      Drive user adoption and provide training where required
Governance & Vendor Management
·      Develop IT policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks
·      Manage IT budget, procurement, and cost optimisation
·      Oversee vendors, service providers, and external consultants
·      Support multi-entity setup with proper system segregation and controls
Support & Leadership
·      Act as escalation point for complex or critical IT issues
·      Oversee IT support (internal or outsourced) and service levels
·      Establish structured support processes (ticketing, SLAs)
·      Support and guide users to improve IT discipline and usage
·      Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Qualifications
·      5–8 years of IT experience, with managerial or lead exposure
·      Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networks, and cloud (AWS/Azure)
·      Experience in cybersecurity, access controls, and system governance
·      Proven experience managing vendors and IT projects
·      Familiarity with Singapore regulations (e.g. PDPA) preferred
·      Experience in maritime, trading, or logistics environments is a plus
