Job Description:

• Process Strategy & Optimisation: Evaluate and refine logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operational scalability.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing or has completed a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a reputable university with strong academic credentials. Candidates who are currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree should be expected to graduate by Jul 2026, and all candidates must be able to join us by Aug 2026.
• Candidates who meet the above requirements and are currently pursuing a Master’s Degree or above must be able to join us on a full-time basis by Aug 2026. A Master’s Degree or above is advantageous but not required

Work you’ll do 

• Conduct client due diligence during onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with AML/KYC obligations. 

• Validate and verify KYC information through comprehensive research and cross-referencing internal and external databases. 

• Identify and escalate cases involving politically exposed persons and customers with medium to high AML risk. 

• Perform enhanced due diligence for customers with higher AML risk ratings, addressing complex compliance issues. 

• Conduct Source of Wealth review in accordance with regulatory and industry standards and advise on assessment and corroboration gaps; perform subsequent uplift to required standards. 

• Provide support to the Compliance function by handling ad hoc queries, evaluating sanctions alerts, and investigating transaction monitoring alerts for potential fraud. 

• Document the rationale for escalating or dismissing sanctions and transaction alerts, stay updated on AML regulations, support Deloitte Forensic projects, and co-lead a team ensuring quality and efficiency.

Requirements 

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., accounting, finance) and a professional certification is a plus. 

• Minimum 1 year of experience in KYC, AML, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or related fields, ideally within consulting, financial, accounting, or legal institutions. 

• Basic understanding of AML regulations and money laundering schemes. 

• Experience providing financial crime consulting to various banking sectors and skills in analyzing, drafting, and presenting reports. 

• Strong team player with good communication, analytical, and report-writing skills, and a commitment to professional excellence. 

• Willingness to travel client’s office when needed, participate in practice growth, and work under minimal supervision in a dynamic environment. 

• Ability to Review Accounting/Financial Documents in Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and continuously improve the company's comprehensive risk management framework by formulating risk management policies, procedures, standards, and control tools to ensure full coverage across all business processes.
• Identify, assess, and monitor credit risk, market risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and funding risk; prepare profit and loss reports, risk assessment reports, and risk alert notifications.
• Participate in risk control reviews for business projects, conduct due diligence and risk ratings on counterparties, customers, and major transactions, and provide approval recommendations.
• Monitor business execution, conduct routine risk inspections, abnormal data analysis, and risk investigations to promptly identify and issue warnings on potential issues.
• Lead the handling of risk incidents, formulate response measures, follow up on corrective actions, minimize losses, and establish post-incident review and improvement mechanisms.
• Collaborate with trading, finance, legal, operations, and other departments to integrate risk control requirements into business processes and enhance overall risk awareness among employees.
• Regularly report to management on the company's overall risk exposure, effectiveness of risk control implementation, and optimization recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Monitor changes in industry policies and regulatory requirements, and update risk management strategies in a timely manner to ensure compliant and stable business operations.
• Review the input records of physical and derivatives transactions, and verify the accuracy of valuations in the risk management system.
• Assist the finance department in managing derivative-related funding and settlement activities.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in risk management, trading risk, or commodity/LNG markets preferred.
• Strong understanding of market risk, credit risk, and derivatives.
• Proficiency in risk systems and Excel-based analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin (verbal and written) is required to liaise with stakeholders at headquarters in China, where Mandarin is the primary working language.
• Experience in Chinese corporations is an advantage.
