Job Description

1) Supporting school teachers in the following:

• Prepare and set up apparatus and resources for Science practical lessons.

• Be present during practical lessons and support teacher during lab demonstration or group work. Facilitate activities in the small groups.

• Monitor resources and make appropriate recommendations for lessons. Try out resources and share with the teachers or Science Subject Representatives on the usage.

• Record items that need to be purchased during preparation so that budget can be tapped on and used effectively.

• Carry out stock take of apparatus/materials and disposal of redundant items. Inform teacher-in-charge for replenishment of needed apparatus/materials.

• Spruce up the look and feel of Science rooms Eg: display of charts and students work

• Support the Math and Science Departments in after school lessons for students during Olympiad and E2K programme.

• Preparation of teaching and learning resources e.g: cutting of resources, lamination, signage for Science garden, sorting of butterfly kits( by class), seed kits (by class)

• Accompany students for learning journey

• School Garden Maintenance eg: watering of plants, composting, hydroponics

• Cleaning and Maintenance of Science Rooms

2) To support any work requirements beyond the stipulated work hours where necessary. Such requirements will be communicated and agreed upon beforehand with personnel and charged against the total contracted hours.

3) To perform any other duties as and when assigned by the school.

The Services required are set out as follows:

Performs administrative and bookkeeping functions including:

Admin functions: collect/review supporting documents, generate/process invoice & payment, and any other administractive functions assigned by the Admin Manager

Bookkeeping functions: data entry, bank reconciliation, accruals & journal adjustments and prepare monthly financial statements for submission to the SMC

Job Description

1. Managing the General Office counter

 Attending to walk-in visitors and phone calls

 Handling enquiries from students, parents, and stakeholders

2. Providing basic first aid for pupils with minor injuries (i.e., small cut,

bruises etc.)

3. Managing incoming and outgoing mail

4. Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of:

 General Office

 Reception area

 Storerooms and workspaces

 Sickbay

5. Managing office supplies and stationery distribution

6. Performing administrative duties such as:

 Filing, sorting, photocopying, and shredding documents

7. Supporting logistics and operations, including:

 Packing and distributing materials

 Coordinating deliveries and collections

8. Tracking and replenishing first-aid supplies (General Office and

Special Rooms)

9. Performing any other ad-hoc duties assigned

All personnel shall:

• Support and cover one another when required

• Be rotated across duties when necessary

• Be capable of performing both front desk and backend

administrative roles

General Scope of Work:

a) Supporting the implementation process of research study on the effectiveness of the SPED Teaching and Learning Syllabuses

b) Recording, analysing and evaluating data relating to the research study and stakeholder engagement sessions

c) Providing support for syllabus implementation in SPED schools

d) Conducting literature reviews to support syllabus implementation in SPED schools

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Assist in the preparation of teaching and learning resources.

2. Assist in the preparation of science experiment materials and

maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the science

laboratory.

3. Assist students in carrying out the science experiments under the

supervision of the Science teachers.

4. Provide administrative support to the teachers (e.g. preparation

of student’s achievement certificates and collation of students’

survey responses).

5. Manage the loan and return of teaching resources and prepare

documentation for the condemnation of teaching resources

where required.

6. Provide front-desk customer service, including handling walk-in

and telephone enquiries from parents as when required.

7. Assist with school printing duties as when required.

The Services required are set out as follows:

a. Management of resources

 Regular Inventory management in Science Labs including stock-

take, replenishing, repairs and replacement

 Assist HOD (Science) to liaise with vendors in procurement for

inventory management in Science Labs

 Organise resources neatly with name labels in the Science Labs

 Assist the teacher to facilitate student discussions

 Tidying up of Science Labs

b. Preparation of resources

 Co-ordinate loan request from teachers in the Science Labs

 Preparing and set up of resources according to scheme of work

& specifications given by teachers in the Science Labs

 Printing and photocopying jobs in the Printing Room

 Preparation of teaching aids such as cutting and lamination

works in the Science Labs

Administrative duties:

Assist with other ad-hoc administrative duties and preparation of

resources for the Authority as required by the school and/or department.

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Provide pleasant and attentive services to members of public

stakeholders and members of school, i.e. parents, students etc with

their enquiries and requests.

2. Provide timely, accurate and clear communication – both written and

verbal – to members of public stakeholders and members of school,

i.e. screen and direct calls, take and relay messages, provide

required information for inquiries.

3. Attend to sick or injured students who report to the General Office

(GO), and notify relevant staff as well as maintain records of sick bay

usage. Knowledge of First Aid is preferred.

4. Support the GO staff with administration and operational matters, e.g.

organise and sort mails, receive deliveries, assist with recording

students’ late coming, checking the completeness of forms submitted to the GO.

5. Keep proper records of keys and lockers issued.

6. Keep proper records of lost and found items.

7. Monitor and replenish the First Aid inventory.

8. Complete other duties as assigned by Principal, Vice-Principals,

Administration Managers and Administrative Executives.
