Job Summary
You will collaborate closely with design teams and partners to develop and execute interior design concepts, ensuring compliance with contractual and client agreements. Lead FF&E sourcing, documentation, and site inspections to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design teams to develop concepts and design details that meet client and contractual requirements
- Select and prepare FF&E presentations showcasing materials and finishes to support design proposals
- Coordinate furniture layouts, perspectives, and 2D/3D renderings with design teams to visualize project outcomes
- Review shop drawings and samples from suppliers and contractors to ensure quality and compliance
- Attend site meetings and conduct site/factory inspections to verify materials and furniture meet specifications
- Prepare comprehensive FF&E specifications and documentation for tender and construction phases
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Lead and mentor FF&E designers by coordinating tasks, providing feedback, and overseeing performance
- Assist in coordination with consultants and clients to resolve design and project issues promptly
- Interpret design specifications and layouts accurately to guide project execution
- Apply strong organizational skills to maintain attention to detail throughout all design phases
- Demonstrate creativity and awareness of global design trends and FF&E supply markets
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining responsibility for project outcomes
- Utilize AutoCAD and MS Office proficiently; knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max, and SketchUp is advantageous
- Employ strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to foster effective teamwork and client relations
- Apply knowledge of site work and project progress to support design detailing and execution
- Use freehand sketching skills to enhance design presentations and detailing where applicable
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Textiles, Interior Design, or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years of relevant interior design experience, especially in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max, and SketchUp software
- Strong skills in design detailing and freehand sketching
