Role Purpose:
The Transformer ProjectManager (HV & MV) is responsible for managing assigned transformer projectsin Singapore from contract award through delivery, installation, testing,commissioning, energisation, and final handover. The role ensures projects aredelivered safely, on schedule, within approved budgets, and in compliance withclient, regulatory, and OEM requirements. This role supports the overalltransformer project portfolio works closely with internal functions includingEngineering, Procurement, Logistics, Installation, Testing & Commissioning,and Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Project Delivery(Assigned Transformer Projects):
§ Manage assigned HV andMV transformer projects from contract award through final handover andcloseout.
§ Ensure delivery isaligned to scope, schedule, and budget targets.
§ Coordinate with clients,consultants, and OEMs for design reviews, delivery and site readiness, FactoryAcceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, andenergisation.
§ Planning &Scheduling
§ Prepare projectexecution plans, milestone schedules, and short-interval look-ahead plans.
§ Track progress acrossengineering, procurement, manufacturing, FAT, delivery, installation, oilworks, testing, and energisation.
§ Implement recoveryactions and escalation where delays occur.
Requirements:
§ Bachelor’s Degree orDiploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related technicalfield.
§ Project ManagementProfessional certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
§ Minimum 5–8 years inelectrical infrastructure projects and 2-3 years in a project management orproject engineer capacity.
§ Demonstrated experiencein one or more switchgear projects involving 22kV / 6.6kV MV transformers, 66kVtransformers or 230kV transformers; Singapore market experience is preferred.
