1. Project Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day coordination of steel and metal works projects

• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

• Track shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical submissions

2. Drawings & Technical Support

• Assist in drawing coordination (Drawings prepared by the drafting team)

• Liaise with the drafting team on revisions, updates, and coordination issues

• Ensure drawings are aligned with site conditions, specifications, and contract requirements

3. Material Take-Off & Procurement

• Assist in material quantity take-off for steel and metal works

• Support the Project Manager/QS in cost checking, variation order (VO) support, and progress claims

• Maintain basic records for quantities, tonnage, and material usage

• Assist in material requisitions and delivery planning

4. Site Support

• Assist PM in site coordination, installation planning, and work sequencing

• Attend site meetings and inspections when required

• Support the PM in resolving site issues related to steel and metal works

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Assist PM in preparing simple project reports, schedules, and trackers

• Ensure documentation is updated, organised, and properly controlled

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

• 0–3 years of experience in steel, metal works, or construction industry (fresh graduates welcome)

• Basic understanding of structural steel and metal works preferred

• Able to read drawings and perform basic quantity take-off

• Proficient in MS Excel and Word; AutoCAD / TEKLA knowledge is a plus

• Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work under guidance

• Good communication and Team player with a positive learning attitude

Key Responsibilities (Methodology Focus)

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and critical path analysis
• Track project progress and identify delays, risks, and potential impacts
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure schedule alignment
• Integrate fabrication, delivery, and installation timelines for structural steel works
• Conduct regular schedule reviews and provide mitigation strategies for delays
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates for stakeholders
• Support planning of manpower, resources, and equipment allocation

Technical Skills & Software

• Proficient in AutoCAD (3D drafting)
• Experience with BIM tools (e.g., Tekla Structures)
• Knowledge of BIM module coordination and clash detection
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Familiar with construction sequencing and steel erection workflow

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in tracking project progress and timelines
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure smooth execution of structural steel fabrication and installation works

2. Drawings & Documentation

• Review and follow up on shop drawings, GA drawings, and as-built drawings
• Manage drawing revisions and submissions for approval
• Liaise with engineers and consultants to resolve technical issues

3. Material & Production Tracking

• Monitor fabrication progress with steel suppliers
• Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival on site
• Prevent delays due to material shortages

4. Site Coordination

• Work closely with site supervisors and foremen on installation progress
• Arrange lifting activities and installation sequences
• Resolve on-site issues such as misalignment or design discrepancies

5. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports
• Submit RFIs (Request for Information) when needed
• Support inspections (e.g., welding, bolting) and quality checks

6. Safety & Regulations

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards set by the Ministry of Manpower
• Assist with permit applications (e.g., lifting, hot work)

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, MTOs, and tender proposals for steel/metal works.

- Review contracts, drawings, and specs; manage subcontracts and variations.

- Handle monthly claims, VOs, and final accounts; ensure timely payment and documentation.

- Track budgets, cost control, and cash flow; prepare reports for management.

- Liaise with project, engineering, and procurement teams; attend client meetings.

Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in QS, Civil Engineering, or related field.

- Min. 2–3 years’ experience in steelwork QS or contract admin.

- Strong in cost estimation, negotiation & drawing interpretation.

- Independent, detail-oriented, and good communication skills.

Job Description

• Review,manage, and ensure compliance with project contracts, tender documents, and subcontract agreements
• Analyse contract requirements and provisions, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
