As an important member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications that drive our success.

Within Commercial Systems, that means ensuring high-impact business platforms and experiences that support Grab's commercial teams at scale.

This is an onsite role, that will be based in Petaling Jaya, and will report to the Head of Commercial Systems.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will architect and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable full-stack solutions using modern technologies and best practices
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products
• You will develop and optimize both frontend and backend components of our applications
• You will implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications
• You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• You will troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across the stack
• You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
• You will stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our tech stack

You will report to the Head of Commercial System and work onsite in Grab office based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, based in Malaysia and develop internal tools, reporting dashboards, and operational applications. You will work across the stack, building both frontend and backend components. We're looking for candidates that embody ownership, display a hunger for learning and improvement, and excel in autonomy.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop high-quality and scalable backend services within a microservices architecture
• Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly frontend web applications using React
• Build internal tools and reporting dashboards for Insurance Operations team
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design and ship new features
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
