Java Software Engineer

Summary:

Requirements:

Full Stack Developer (C#)

Scope:

Job Title: IT Operations Specialist (SDC Associate Engineer)

Work Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (24x7 coverage).

We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated ITOperations Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring thecontinuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of customers SD WAN solutionsand overall IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a solidtechnical foundation, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability toperform under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and Support: Proactively monitorthe performance and availability of IT systems, including servers, networks,and applications. Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for detectedissues.

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve IT incidentsin a timely manner, adhering to established procedures and escalationprotocols. Accurately document incidents and resolutions within the incidentmanagement system.

• SD-WAN Service Requests and Changes: Executepredefined standard service requests and change requests across various SD-WANplatforms such as Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, and Fortinet.

• Operational Tasks: Perform daily healthchecks, log reviews, and system performance monitoring. Ensure all scheduledtasks are completed within agreed service levels.

• Communication: Maintain clearcommunication with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and end-users. Providetimely updates on incident status and operational activities.

• Compliance and Security: Follow companypolicies and regulatory standards to ensure secure and compliant IT operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Networking,or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or Polytechnic diploma preferred).

• At least 1 year of experience in ITinfrastructure operations or technical support (LAN/WAN/Cloud).

• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms (e.g.,Cisco Viptela, VeloCloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, Fortinet) and familiarity withchange request execution and basic troubleshooting.

• Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals(TCP/IP,routing) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).

• Professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP orSD-WAN vendor-specific certifications are advantageous.

· Experience in application support role for min 1 years forsupport or Developers willing to learn with good knowledge of Java, Unix, SQL

• Experience in programming languages such as JAVA/J2EE.

Night shift 10pm to 7am.

• Hands-on experience in using MS SQL Database
• Hands-on experience in configuring Web Servers and Application Servers.

Preferred/Desired Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of AWS or Azure to host and run the applications
• Knowledge of cloud application development
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
