Senior Process Engineer (Pharmaceutical / Biotech Engineering) Global European Organisation

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a European international engineering and technology solutions provider supporting global pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers. Due to continued expansion in Asia, they are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their Singapore team.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value life sciences projects at the intersection of process engineering, automation, and advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing, supporting the development of GMP-compliant production facilities for leading pharma and biotech organisations.

About the Role

The Senior Process Engineer will contribute across the full project lifecycle - from concept and detailed design through commissioning and operational readiness - working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and automation teams.

The role is suited to engineers who combine strong process engineering fundamentals with exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and an interest in digitally integrated or automated production systems.

What You Should Have

• Background in process engineering within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing

• Exposure to automation or digitally integrated manufacturing environments (Emerson DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, Rockwell Automation (PlantPAx / ControlLogix)

• Understanding of GMP-regulated production facilities

• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable engaging with clients, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop and review process designs, PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications etc.

• Support process development and scale-up activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing systems

• Collaborate with automation engineers on process control strategies

• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities

• Perform process calculations, risk assessments, and optimisation studies

• Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements

• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives

• Contribute to validation and technical documentation

Experience and Skillsets

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline

• 5–10 years of relevant industry experience

• Experience within one or more of the following:

  • Pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing (bioreactors, clan utilities, media/buffer etc)

  • Biologics or vaccine production

  • Engineering consultancy / EPCM environments

  • Automation or system integration projects in regulated industries

• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments

• Process control principles, PID control loops, Batch processes (ISA-88)

• Exposure to commissioning & qualification (CQV) activities preferred

• Industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Ethernet/IP), digitalization or Industry 4.0 concepts

• Knowledge of upstream/downstream bioprocessing or sterile manufacturing is advantageous

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and organised HR & Admin Executive to support day-to-day business operations within a growing organisation in the medical sector.

This is a varied role combining HR administration, work pass coordination, workplace safety support, and general office operations, where you will play an important role in ensuring smooth internal processes and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

The position is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide administrative support across departments
• Manage employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, documentation and record maintenance
• Handle work pass matters (EP / S Pass / Work Permit) including applications, renewals, cancellations and liaison with MOM portals
• Maintain HR records, policies, employee files and internal documentation
• Liaise with government agencies for submissions, surveys and regulatory requirements
• Assist with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) administration, including maintaining safety records, coordinating training schedules and supporting compliance documentation
• Support occupational health and safety reporting, internal audits and documentation tracking where required
• Manage company insurance renewals, licences, permits and compliance-related records
• Oversee office administration including supplies, vendors and facilities coordination
• General operational support as needed

What We Look For

• Experience in HR administration and general office operations
• Familiarity with Singapore work pass processes and MOM systems preferred
• Exposure to workplace safety or compliance administration is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, dependable and able to work independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
