Business Development Director – Job Responsibilities (Construction & Painting Industry)
- Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company's construction and painting services market share.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, projects, and contracts with main contractors, developers, property owners, and government agencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, project managers, and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit project proposals, quotations, and tender documents for construction and painting projects.
- Negotiate contract terms, project scope, pricing, and commercial agreements with clients.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and business opportunities.
- Develop sales targets, business plans, and revenue growth strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Lead and manage the business development team, providing guidance, training, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with project, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Attend industry events, networking sessions, and business meetings to promote the company's services and expand its client base.
- Monitor project pipelines, maintain customer databases, and prepare regular business development reports for management.
- Identify opportunities for long-term maintenance, repainting, renovation, and construction contracts to generate recurring revenue.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company policies when pursuing business opportunities.
- Support strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations to strengthen the company's position in the construction and painting sector.
- Drive overall business growth, profitability, and market expansion while maintaining high standards of customer service and professional conduct.
Requirements / Experience
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within the construction or painting industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction projects, painting works, tender processes, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proven track record in securing construction and painting projects and achieving revenue targets.
