Job Summary
We are seeking a driven Operations Executive to lead the planning and execution of large-scale festivals, esports tournaments, and community events, ensuring seamless operations and impactful experiences in dynamic, high-energy environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute gaming festivals, esports tournaments, and community activations to deliver engaging event experiences
- Manage end-to-end event operations including pre-event planning, live event support, and post-event breakdown to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee logistics for multiple event components such as tournament zones, artist alleys, exhibition booths, and stage areas to optimize event flow
- Coordinate with vendors, production teams, partners, and community stakeholders to align resources and schedules
- Supervise setup and teardown of equipment, signage, and event infrastructure to meet operational standards
- Conduct basic risk assessments and identify operational gaps to mitigate potential issues proactively
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and real-time coordination during live events to resolve challenges promptly
- Track, manage, and maintain event assets including gaming equipment, collectibles displays, and production materials to ensure availability and condition
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and reporting to support event management
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Business, Logistics, or related fields; relevant hands-on event experience may substitute formal qualifications
- Experience in event operations, esports events, festivals, or logistics coordination
- Ability to multitask across different event zones and workstreams simultaneously
- Strong ownership and accountability in fast-paced environments
- Understanding of event operations, crowd flow, and risk management
- Willingness to travel across event venues and activation sites
- Availability to work weekends and long hours during event periods
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with vendors, players, creators, and partners
Preferred competencies
- Familiarity with esports tournament operations or gaming event setups
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or space planning tools for event layouts
- Experience with Photoshop, Canva, or design tools for event collaterals
- Understanding of livestream, broadcast setups, or AV production
- Interest in gaming, collectibles, anime, comics, TCG, or pop culture communities
