Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Design electromechanical assemblies, enclosures, structural frames, brackets, and mounting systems using SolidWorks.
• Prepare engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Develop cable routing, wire harness, conduit, and connector layouts.
• Perform tolerance analysis and apply DFM/DFA principles for efficient manufacturing and assembly.

Project Management

• Manage projects from design through FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
• Develop project schedules, ECNs, risk registers, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, vendors, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

Assembly, Integration & Testing

• Support mechanical assembly and integration of panels, drives, sensors, and control systems.
• Plan and conduct testing, including fitment, vibration, thermal, and functional validation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical interface issues.
• Support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct inspections and review fabrication quality.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support ISO 9001 audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience, including at least 2 years in electromechanical assembly projects.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of enclosure design, sheet metal fabrication, IP/NEMA ratings, thermal management, and EMC considerations.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and coordinate with E&I teams.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, BOM management, and project tracking.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, FMEA, FTA, and reliability engineering skills.

Preferred Industries: Industrial machinery, power & energy, defence, process plants, or building automation.

Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end management of sheet metal fabrication projects, ensuring successful execution from design review and material planning to production, quality control, and on-time delivery. Acts as the key liaison between engineering, production, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fabrication projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs for manufacturability.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, work orders, and production plans.
• Support CAD/CAM teams in developing fabrication drawings and nesting layouts.
• Apply DFM principles for sheet metal processes including cutting, bending, welding, punching, and forming.
• Monitor shop-floor activities, machine scheduling, and production progress.
• Resolve technical and production issues, minimizing delays and material wastage.
• Liaise with customers and vendors on technical requirements, project updates, and outsourced processes.
• Prepare project status reports and ensure quality and delivery targets are met.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, heavy engineering, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM, nesting software, and Trumpf machines is an advantage.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Job Description:

• Co-ordinate with a team of technicians to provide on-site installation and support to customers for Electromechanical and Electrical wiring systems.

• Co-ordinate cross functional efforts and attend technical meetings with customers to meet customer design requirements.

• Manage and Report project progress and continually assess & adjust resource requirements to meet customer timelines.

• Drive new product development from initial prototyping to mass production.

• Sourcing new components and equipment to support new products & responsible for cost evaluations of new product and tooling.

• Co-ordinate/oversee progress of product development Cross-functional activities.

• Responsible for project FAI and project documentation (such as Customer-approvals, Drawings, Specifications, Production SOP, Work-Instructions etc.)

• Work with QA/QC to analyze and handle any quality issue.

• Any other duties/projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or a relevant technical discipline

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a electrical engineering role

• Preferably in the Manufacturing or Electrical engineering industry

• Experience in design, Electrical power distribution panel or Electrical panel design/ motor is an added advantage

Job Descriptions:

• Arrange & prepare internal packing list based on committed schedule provided by internal
• Check shipment plan with internal and liaise with correspondence parties (warehouse/planner) for shipment release and to ensure inventory update in system
• Preparing & handling all shipping documents including cartons labels, generating Invoice & DO, packing list, COC, outgoing report & Airway Bill etc
• Arrange & booking with forwarder/courier service for delivery by Air and Sea shipment, update internal accordingly.
• Liaise with packing team / warehouse internally & communicate with forwarders for shipment arrangement
• Ensure working documents are progressed and achieved with proper recording / filling systems
• Track oversea shipment progressed to update internally
• Follow up export permit for all oversea forwarder / returned documents copy (local customer) from warehouse
• Work closely with operations teams in bound, outbound and related tasks - send out Invoice to customer AP team on a weekly basis via email or upload via portal
• Get quote, source & liaise with forwarder/courier service for competitive shipment cost once required
• Assist planning department on administrative duties, add-hoc basis
• To carry out any task / data entry assigned by Manager / Executive
