Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation energy-efficient AI hardware. The project aims to demonstrate an AI accelerator chiplet that integrates emerging non-volatile memory (RRAM or MRAM) with conventional I/O interfaces. This platform will showcase compute–memory co-design advantages, including enhanced data throughput, improved energy efficiency, and reduced data-movement overheads for large-scale AI workloads. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Develop and implement fine-grained dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) strategies tailored for GPU-based AI workloads, with control at the level of transformer blocks and attention layers.
•    Design and build a high-resolution (microsecond-scale) performance monitoring framework to capture workload intensity, memory access patterns, and GPU utilization for real-time optimization.
•    Develop and deploy machine learning models to predict optimal voltage–frequency operating points during LLM training and inference.
•    Integrate predictive control algorithms with hardware platforms to enable real-time, adaptive power management across heterogeneous compute and memory subsystems.
•    Collaborate on system-level hardware–software co-design to realize energy-efficient AI acceleration.
•    Contribute to prototype development, benchmarking, and evaluation of performance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant (Quantitative Analysis) to work on empirical research in the area of population aging, mortality, and pensions, with an active focus on Singapore and Asia. The project is part of a larger interdisciplinary research program aimed at developing a better understanding of how aging beliefs and mortality expectations may influence financial decision-making among participants in a pension scheme. The Ho lab is a world leader in the study of small open reading frame–encoded peptides (SEPs), with particular expertise in identifying novel peptides essential for mitochondrial function and metabolism. We previously discovered new mito-SEPs (mitochondrial sORF-encoded peptides) (Zhang et al., 2020, Nature Communications) and are working on defining their molecular functions, with a special focus on the those involved in immune-metabolism. Through this work, we aim to uncover new concepts in the metabolic regulation of immune function. The lab uses a combination of bioinformatics, biochemistry, animal modelling, CRISPR screening and single-cell omics in human and mouse systems to understand how mito-SEPs regulate cellular processes related to energy production. The project Embodied AI for Human-Robot Collaborative Task Execution is looking for a Research Associate in Embodied Artificial Intelligence (EAI) – Enhancing robotic foundation models for human-robot collaborative task execution. The overall goal of this project is to investigate how robotic platforms can combine the capabilities of robotic foundation models (VLAs/VLMs)in generalized reasoning and policy formulation with RL-based approaches for trajectory and manipulation generation to provide fast, optimized and anticipatory assistance to humans while co-executing a task.

DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB POSITION

You will be part of our team developing fundamental capabilities that combine recent and rapid  advances in robotic foundation models with traditional control-based approaches for human-robot collaborative task execution for various industrial tasks.

The successful candidate will be involved in some or all of the following tasks:

•             Software development activities, involving implementation of AI algorithms (e.g., Training models for computer vision, robotics, multi-modal perception etc.), along with maintenance of relevant in-house hardware and software systems for experimental EAI testbeds.

•             System integration of robotic modules for real-world demonstrations of robotics applications. Efficient implementation of AI models on resource-constrained devices (Eg. Jetson family of devices, robotic platforms, VR/XR platforms such as HoloLens).

•             Development of experimentation and data collection platforms for EAI research involving human-robot collaboration, including activities such as effectively setting up sensors on the robots as well as wearable sensors on human subjects performing joint-tasks with the robots.  

•             Actively participate in R&D activities including data collection experiments, software development, testing and deployment of intelligent systems and scientific writing/demonstrations.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

Asia Research Institute

Candidate will be required to liaise with our research consortium members in maintaining our research networks and project updates on social media sites. The RA will also be responsible for administering all aspects of the project, from making travel and conference bookings to procurement and processing payments to compiling and collating data for annual reports and auditing, on a day-to-day basis. In addition, s/he will organise the logistical details of workshops and conferences and take minutes of meetings with stakeholders.

Job Description

Cardiovascular disease remains the top killer and accounts for one third of death worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated Research Fellow candidate aiming at identifying new therapeutic targets and developing engineered extracellular vesicle or lipid nanoparticle-based RNA delivery system for treatments of cardiovascular diseases in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University of Singapore. The candidate is expected to work independently in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will perform a variety of molecular cell biology assays, drug formulations and in vivo experiments in mice, ranging from daily care to surgical procedures and the interpretation of the results. Apart from own projects, the candidate may supervise junior staff and students, and provide support to the research group, as delegated by the PI. The appointment is on a 1-year contract base in the first instance with a possibility of extension. The candidate will be responsible to, and work closely with, the PI and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the experiments in time.

The candidate will organize and coordinate the experiments, analyze the data, write up experiment reports and manuscripts for publication in time.

The candidate will be able to:

1. Oversee the general management of the project; 
2. Work independently: conduct literature search, design and perform experiments, analyze data, prepare both progress and final reports of the project, and write up manuscripts
3. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record-keeping in accordance with policies and procedures; 
4. Provide daily supervision to junior staff or students when necessary
5. Provide support to the research group, including grant applications, as delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

1. A PhD degree in pharmacology or biomedical research; prior postdoctoral work experience is preferable.
2. An excellent publication record in drug delivery or nanomedicine.
3. A strong expertise in engineered extracellular vesicle design or lipid nanoparticle synthesis, with extensive experience in animal studies.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team, an investigative nature and attention to details.

Job Description

The successful candidate will drive research at the intersection of Condensed Matter Theory, Quantum Computing and Quantum Information Science to generate insights for fault-tolerant quantum computing. The successful candidate is expected to: 

• Leverage deep theoretical insights in many-body physics and integrable systems to design and simulate circuits for robust state preparation and error-mitigation
• Design and execute experiments for state preparation and error-mitigation
• Analyze complex datasets and maintain meticulous records of methodologies and findings
• Author high-quality manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present research at international conferences
• Contribute to the drafting of presentations, research proposals and grant applications to secure future funding

Qualifications

• PhD in Theoretical Physic specializing in condensed matter theory, or closely related fields 
• Experience translating the theories of many-body physics and integrable systems, or related topics, into quantum computing applications is preferred
• Proficiency in Python (required) and/or other programming languages
• Experience with Guppy and/or know-how using the Quantinuum quantum software stack
