About the Role

We are partnering with an established precision engineering and contract manufacturing company to hire a Sales Engineer. This role is ideal for candidates with a technical engineering background who enjoy building customer relationships, driving business growth, and working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams.

You will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities within the machining and contract manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, Business Development, or Account Management within manufacturing.
• Experience in precision engineering, machining, CNC machining, metal fabrication, contract manufacturing, or related industries is advantageous.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Comfortable working with engineering drawings, BOMs, quotations, and RFQs.
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Willing to support customers across different time zones when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Interpret customer’s project specifications, and prepare technical and commercial proposals for process control, safety instrumented system, SCADA, PLC/RTU, solution packages, cyber security, Yokogawa partners’ solutions for timely internal review and submission to customer.

• Work closely with direct sales, marketing, subject-matter-experts, project team and teams from other disciplines as well as vendors / sub-contractors to provide a complete and competitive solution.

• Perform site survey, gather information at site, and identify customer’s needs for brownfield projects.

• Participate in customer meetings for such as solution presentation, technical clarification, etc

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Degree in Engineering — preferably in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, to ensure strong technical grounding.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), or related solution packages

• Sales experience — involvement in technical sales, customer engagement, or solution selling.

• System engineering background — exposure to design, integration, and technical proposal preparation.

• Project handling skills — ability to manage timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of automation solutions

Roles & Responsibilities

• Mapping: Design and implement systems for sensor fusion-based 2D/3D mapping, including map merging, and life long map update.

• Localization: Development of reliable real-time localization for long-term autonomous operation of robots.
