The company was founded in 1978 by Lee Kum Weng as a small workshop in Segambut, outskirt of Kuala Lumpur. With Lee's many years of experience and acquired engineering knowledge and skills, in the beginning the company only undertook jobbing orders for design and fabrication of tools and dies. In 1992, Seik Lam was established as a Sdn. Bhd. (Private Ltd) company. Since then, the company's growth has been very encouraging. With prudence, it has weathered through several economic crises. It has since modernized with up-to-date CNC machineries and diversified into mass and batch production with a healthy market share both local and export.
