Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing supplier quality performance to ensure materials and services supplied meet the Company's quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to drive supplier quality improvements, resolve quality issues, support supplier qualification activities, and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

• Conduct supplier quality audits, assessments, and evaluations to ensure compliance with Company requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and manage supplier quality performance through established KPIs, scorecards, and performance reviews.
• Review, assess, and approve new suppliers in collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve process capability, and enhance overall supplier performance.

Quality Issue Resolution

• Handle incoming material quality issues and coordinate containment actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead investigations of supplier-related quality issues and drive timely resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure timely closure of supplier quality concerns.

Compliance & Quality Systems

• Ensure suppliers comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (where applicable), customer requirements, and relevant industry standards.
• Review and maintain supplier quality documentation, audit reports, corrective action records, and qualification records.
• Support supplier qualification, requalification, and ongoing supplier performance management activities.
• Participate in internal, supplier, and customer audits as required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to address supplier-related quality concerns.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and supplier qualification activities to ensure supplier readiness and product quality requirements are met.
• Provide supplier quality performance updates and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management within the manufacturing or semiconductor industry.
• Experience managing supplier quality performance and supplier development activities.
• Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience conducting supplier quality audits and assessments.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description

1) Monitor and drive Quality performance (KPI) to meet company goal towards zero defect.

2) Ensure compliance to company and customer Quality requirements.

3) Engage and drive timely and effective failure/root-cause analysis (CAPA/8D) so as to prevent reoccurrence.

4) Develop and implement various quality, analytical, troubleshooting and risk analysis tools including FAI, 8D, CAPA, FMEA, Control Plan, Change Control, NPI.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Liaison with customer reps on documentation procedures including certification and maintenance release.

• Ensure all aircraft have valid documents such as Certificate of Registration, Certificate Of Airworthiness, Radio License, Insurance Certificate, etc as applicable.

• Conduct quality internal audits as scheduled by the Quality Audit Plan or as instructed by the Manager Quality.

• Carry out investigation into incidents, accidents, customer complaints and warranty claims.

• Carry out surveillance inspections at various stages of aircraft work in progress for correct maintenance practices, good housekeeping and proper documentation.

• Assist in the evaluation of new or amendments as appropriate of new or changes to existing contracted operators’ interface procedures.

• Carry out Airworthiness Directives review.

• Monitor and track contracted operators’ surveillance follow up action to closure.

• To consolidate the aircraft surveillance and investigation KPI on the program assigned.

• Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License (AMEL) issued by the civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) or a foreign equivalent license recognized by CAAS or an FAA A&P certificate or professional licenses relating to aviation.

• Minimum five years working experience in aviation industry.

• Shall possess Diploma in engineering or equivalent.

• Conversant with Airworthiness requirements and / or Quality Management System (AS9110).

• Able to perform internal and external quality audits is an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to work independently and in a team environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develops and conducts test plans and protocols for design verification, process characterization, process validation, finished product and benchmarking study to generate test reports with sound engineering principle.

About the Job:

The Quality Department plays a very important role in Cyrus in maintaining the quality management system and driving quality improvements to deliver high quality products for our customers. You will be working closely with the Assistant Quality Manager on Quality Management System (QMS) and suppliers’ management.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

- To participate in procedures for Supplier Management process such as supplier on-boarding, selection and approval process by assessing and evaluating supplier profile; visiting and auditing of supplier facility and process, initiating supplier quality agreement review, and establishing good partnership with suppliers.
