Job Details:
Contract Duration: 3 Months (Convertible to Perm)
Working Hour: Mon to Thu: 830am to 6pm, Friday: 830am to 530pm & Alt Sat: 830am to 1230pm
Purpose
This role is responsible for planning and executing warehouse secondary operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely service delivery. The role holder is accountable for meeting daily operational objectives, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating closely with operations, customer service teams, vendors, and contractors. A strong attention to detail, hands‑on execution, and a collaborative mindset are essential to delivering consistent results.
Job Descriptions:
1. Warehouse Operations
Plan and manage warehouse storage strategies, layout, and space optimisation to support operational efficiency.
Coordinate order initiation activities across receiving, handling, storage, and distribution functions.
Execute daily operational plans in accordance with established warehousing standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain operational and quality standards, including 5S+1 practices and customer‑specific requirements.
Plan and deploy resources effectively to support business activities, including manpower and equipment.
Coordinate and resolve facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and system issues to minimise operational downtime.
Lead and manage operational teams, including overtime planning, manpower deployment, performance management, employee conduct, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
Conduct and support learning and development activities, including refresher training, on‑the‑job training, and maintenance of training records.
2. Cargo / Material Handling & Delivery Operations
Plan and oversee inbound, storage, and outbound operations in accordance with priority requirements and workload variations.
Manage and monitor cargo handling activities to ensure safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Develop and execute cargo consolidation strategies to optimise space utilisation and reduce operational costs.
Investigate and resolve service level issues, including short shipments, cross shipments, inventory discrepancies, and quality deviations.
3. Business Continuous Improvement
Plan and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
Analyse productivity trends, performance gaps, and operational bottlenecks to identify improvement opportunities.
Implement improvement solutions by operationalising plans and monitoring performance outcomes.
4. Safety & Health Operations
Ensure team compliance with workplace safety policies, standards, and procedures.
Participate in discussions and initiatives aimed at improving existing safety processes and practices.
Conduct periodic Gemba walks to identify safety risks and hazards.
Deliver safety briefings and promote proactive reporting of safety concerns, risks, and near misses.
5. Technology Application Activities
Operate and support deployed warehouse systems, technologies, and tools, including RF handheld devices and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Identify system issues and execute corrective action plans to mitigate system performance issues or malfunctions.
6. Business & Stakeholder Management
Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and contractors, to support operational requirements.
Proactively identify potential operational risks or issues, conduct initial analysis, and escalate in a timely manner when additional support or resources are required.
Maintain data integrity for operational records and documentation, and take responsibility for operational billing activities.
