Procurement Specialist (Contract)

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Specialist (Contract) to support endtoend procurement activities across the organisation. The role will initially focus on purchasing for the Corporate Office (including Marketing, Technology, and Professional Services), with opportunities to support selected power plant procurement categories such as spare parts, services, and operational requirements.

This role is suitable for candidates at different stages of their procurement career from fresh graduates with strong learning potential to experienced professionals seeking handson experience in a dynamic operating environment. The exact procurement portfolio may be aligned with the individual's experience, strengths, and development potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage endtoend procurement activities including RFQs/RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, and purchase order issuance.

• Handle purchasing and sourcing for Corporate Office categories such as marketing services, IT/software, professional services, and general spend.

• Support procurement activities for selected power plant requirements, which may include maintenance spare parts, consumables, OEM equipment, or services.

• Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders (including corporate, engineering and operations functions) to understand requirements and deliver timely and effective procurement outcomes.

• Use electronic systems (i.e. sourcing and finance platforms) to manage purchase progress, ensure complete and accurate data records, and analyse spending behaviour.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with supplier coordination, performance monitoring and resolving delivery or commercial issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline

• 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in technology, utilities, power generation, or industrial environments

• Handson experience with ERP systems is an advantage but not compulsory

• Strong communication, commercial and stakeholder management skills

Job Scope

JOB PURPOSE

The Product Manager – Asset will report to the Senior Product Manager – Asset and is responsible to ensure the optimum management of regional inventory levels for a given product portfolio to meet the requirements of sales for a given business unit, while managing business risk and reducing any excess/bad inventory. • Daily purchases through IMS- Inventory Management System, either local suppliers purchases or global transfers from Memphis or UK
• Purchase backorder review – to monitor the inflow of product PBO (Packed By Owner), to maximize assets via Inventory Management System.
• Coordinate stocking packages with Product Marketing.
• Profile inventory (common bond, customer specific, NCNR (Non-cancelable, Non-Returnable)
• Coordinate programs to decrease bad and excess inventory.
• Resolve pricing discrepancies with marketing / suppliers.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies with APDC (Asia Pacific Distribution Center) / marketing.
• Resolve rejected transfers with Corporate or UK.

Job Purpose

Roles & Responsibilities

IT Procurement

• Ensure timely update, accuracy and completeness of electronic procurement approval process and IT Procurement SharePoint site.
• Prepare and support Request for Quote with the requestor including review of RFQ documents.
• Hands-on knowledge of Request for Proposal (RFP) activities and support IT Procurement Manager on the required tasks of each RFP.
