Your new role

• Manage the procurement of various categories within the CAPEX domain within Australia.
• Develop, execute and monitor to ensure on-time execution of tenders across multiple countries from supplier on-boarding, RFx initiation, pre-tender briefings, post-tender interviews and clarifications, proposal evaluations, negotiations, supplier recommendations till contract award.
• Achieve efficiencies through bidding, negotiation and strategic initiatives.
• Develop, lead and maintain measurable performance metrics including reporting tendering status, spend analysis, forecasting, lifecycle cost savings etc.
• Identify and onboard new vendors to ensure a reliable and robust supply chain in new and existing markets

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Contract/Cost Management or Business Administration from an accredited university.
• 8+ years’ of relevant experience in a performing procurement related work, contract negotiation and bidding, with 5+ years managing CAPEX categories preferably in the Data Centre space.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, work with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple functions to manage complex projects within cost and schedule to deliver results.

To be a Starbucks Assistant Store Manager

We’d love to hear from people who have:

• A minimum of two years’ progressively responsible experience, including at least one year in a customer‑facing role
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills
• The ability to lead effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Previous experience in store leadership roles, ideally within the hospitality or quick service restaurant sector
• Experience supporting store operations and contributing to financial performance
• Exposure to rostering, budgets, and profit & loss (P&L) reports
• A proven ability to develop teams and foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the purchasing function and ensure smooth procurement activities
• Lead and support buyers in supplier negotiations and contract discussions
• Review purchasing decisions, purchase orders, and vendor agreements to ensure compliance and value
• Establish, maintain, and improve procurement policies and SOPs
• Supervise, guide, and evaluate procurement team performance
• Act as the first point of contact for supplier escalations related to delivery and cost issues
• Plan and coordinate facility events, Kaizen activities, and operational initiatives
• Lead and execute cost-saving and procurement optimization projects
• Organize and prioritize procurement projects using structured management tools
• Monitor and report purchase price variance (PPV) on a daily basis
• Prepare forecasting and financial reports for weekly and monthly business reviews
• Identify and drive indirect cost savings initiatives
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and site teams to ensure operational alignment

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
• Familiarity with SAP system preferred
• Strong Excel proficiency
• Self-driven with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the profit & loss of the restaurant and implement appropriate cost control measures

- Manage the restaurant’s budget and forecasts to meet or exceed management expectations

- Maximize profitability of the restaurant by increasing turnover (revenues and covers) as a first priority and controlling costs as a second priority

- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant

- Maintain and improve the overall performance of the restaurant on a regular basis including cost analysis and monitoring of processes

- Supervise food and operational safety to ensure a comfortable environment for the customers

- Ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met by providing an efficient and professional service as well as resolving potential service failure with tact and diplomacy

- Drive operational efficiencies of the restaurant by providing operational leadership in support of the organization’s service culture and maximize customer satisfaction

- Control labour through effective manpower scheduling and monitor leave of staff

- Actively involved in hiring process by identifying and selecting candidates for junior positions

- Actively involved in staff counselling and propose to management on course of disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination of employment

- Manage, supervise and groom a team of supervisors and service staff to ensure maximum utilization of manpower allocated

- Handle all restaurant administrative duties

- Any other jobs or duties assigned by the Area Manager from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 6 years management experience in Food & Beverage industry

- Possess sound leadership qualities and ability to manage service staff

- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; able to build lasting relationships with guests.

- Possess good organizational and management skills; able to lead and inspire staff
