What You'll Actually Do

• Support media outreach: draft pitch emails, compile media lists, and help coordinate journalist and influencer engagements
• Research and prepare media monitoring reports and coverage summaries for clients
• Assist with event planning and on-ground coordination for client activations, media previews, and press conferences
• Help create content for social media channels, press materials, and client presentations
• Conduct industry and competitor research to support new business pitches and client strategy
• Contribute to influencer and KOL campaign coordination, from shortlisting to tracking deliverables

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields
• Strong written and spoken English
• Comfortable working with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Canva
• Curious about media, brands, and what makes a story newsworthy
• Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 3 months (6 months preferred)
• A good attitude and genuine willingness to learn matters more than a polished resume

Bonus if you have

• Basic photo or video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar)
• An interest in lifestyle, food, or retail brands
• Experience running your own social media accounts or content projects (school projects count)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fully support research and brainstorming for existing projects and new business pitches,including competitor analysis, market landscape analysis, communication opportunities, tagline ideation, and IP/media/KOL suggestions.
• Assist in writing and distributing PR documents, including press releases, pitch letters, backgrounders, fact sheets, product review playbooks, speaker bios, newsletters, reports, and other communication materials.
• Create and maintain media/influencer lists for specific overseas markets (mainly in Southeast Asia), using influencer tools and leveraging relationships shared by team.
• Reach out and handle media / influencer inquiries based on projects, can proactively identify media/influencer opportunities in the target market when needed.
• Monitor media and social key data points via Meltwater and other tools, to identify and summarize trends or key coverage that affects the client’s business.
• Develop an understanding of the client’s business and conduct basic industry and market research to maintain a current knowledge base.
• Coordinate specific events and promotions for the client under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Assist in vendor / partner management relating to client business and ensure the quality of delivery under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Assist in account administration duties such as billing, shipping and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree and/or post-graduate degree in Public Relations / Media / Journalism / Communication / Marketing / English or equivalent;
• Strong passion and basic knowledge in Communication and Public Relations is a must.
• Interest in consumer technology / gadgets / automobile / EV is a plus.
• Self-motivated, solution-driven, open-minded, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Language skills: Proficient in English, fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• Able to communicate and collaborate daily with overseas foreign colleagues and other stakeholders (e.g. media & KOL) via email and necessary tools (e.g. WhatsApp, LINE, etc.)
• Excellent content development skills, especially writing. Design/ video editing is a plus.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and perform under tight deadlines.
• Computer skills: MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook), GoogleDocs/Slides/Sheets/Forms/Drive, Tencent Meeting / Zoom / Teams.
• Ability to use AI related tools (GPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Meltwater, etc.) is a plus.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Intern to join our dynamic team, who will be responsible for supporting the team in across PR activities and media events.

You will have the opportunity to work across the Corporate or Public Affairs Department and will be assisting the team with media monitoring and reporting, crafting press materials such as pitch notes, press releases, research, and coordinating client events.

There are also opportunities for our interns to sit in client meetings virtually, gaining first-hand experience.
