About the role:

SMITECH is seeking an experienced M&E Interface Manager to lead project interfacing and coordination for a major M&E construction and infrastructure project in Singapore.

This role will take charge of all project interface matters across Civil & Structural, Architectural, M&E building services, consultants, subcontractors, client representatives, authorities and other project stakeholders. The successful candidate will manage the interface coordination team to ensure timely resolution of design, construction, authority approval and site coordination issues.

This project role is to be based on site on a 5.5-day work week.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum ten (10) years of engineering experience, with at least five (5) years managing project construction interfaces.
• Strong experience managing interfaces across Civil & Structural, Architectural and M&E Building Services works for projects of similar scale, nature and complexity.
• Proven ability to lead project interfacing coordination involving consultants, subcontractors, client representatives, authorities and internal project teams.

Job Description

• Drive commercial performance across APAC markets, including Singapore and key Southeast Asia countries
• Oversee country-level execution to ensure alignment with regional business strategies
• Lead revenue growth initiatives and identify opportunities for market expansion
• Take full accountability for overall commercial outcomes across multiple markets
• Collaborate closely with HQ and cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution and alignment

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of Sales & Marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, preferably with CNS exposure
• Proven track record in driving business growth with strong P&L ownership and commercial acumen
• Regional experience managing APAC / Southeast Asia markets, with the ability to operate independently and drive execution across countries

• In charge of identifying, deploying and driving the successful completion of targeted projects and initiatives that deliver operational and financial results, as well as improved customer satisfaction.
• Taking charge as a Business Partner to the Site to drive step-change improvements in business performance by analysing company processes and procedures and developing process enhancement strategies.
• Establish and implement an effective framework and structure across the organization to enable continuous business improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance productivity.
• Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects within the business, including training, coaching, guiding, and delivering outcomes.
• Stay up to date with developments in management practices and process optimization

Requirements:

• Min Degree in business or technical/mechanical engineering/operational discipline or relevant
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in delivering step change in business performance
• Experience in business improvement tools & techniques, with associated certification (e.g. Lean, Theory Of Constraints), coupled with demonstrable knowledge and experience in real world applications
• Six sigma certification a plus
