We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support new product introduction (NPI) programs for advanced semiconductor solutions. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, this role will drive sourcing and supplier management for direct, secondary, and packing materials. The position plays a key role in ensuring cost-effective, reliable supply to support next-generation AI-powered products.

Key Responsibilities

• Source materials to support semiconductor development and production needs
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate supplier quotations
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements
• Engage suppliers early to support new product builds (NPI)
• Issue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery, resolving supply issues as needed
• Support supplier audits and performance evaluation 

The Purchasing Specialist supports the Advanced Packaging line by ensuring timely and cost‑effective sourcing of MRO, indirect materials, and capital equipment. The role manages suppliers, supports NPI requirements, and partners with Engineering Team to develop the critical spare parts strategy. Responsibilities include driving cost savings, mitigating supply risks, and managing PR/PO and contract processes efficiently.

Renesas Electronics, a leading global semiconductor company, is rapidly scaling its AI-focused power delivery business. Products include high-performance digital power VRMs, multiphase controllers, Smart Power Stages (SPS), Vertical Power Stages (SPS with integrated capacitors and multiple silicon die), Power Towers (power modules integrating multiple SPS-equivalents with capacitors and inductors), and power MOSFETs. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Sourcing Management

• Develop sourcing strategies for MRO, Indirects, and CapEx.
• Build multi‑sourcing strategies for critical equipment and spare parts.
• Support NPI builds, trials, and new product introduction requirements.

1. Supplier Management

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, warranties, and Service Level Agreement.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews (On time delivery, quality, service response).

1. MRO / Spare Parts Management

• Coordinate with Engineering Team on preventive maintenance spares and urgent breakdown parts and develop critical spare strategy.

1. Cost, Risk & Compliance

• Drive annual cost savings and cost up avoidance programs.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks (single source, long lead items).

1. Procurement Operations

• Manage PR/PO cycle, contract management, support urgent breakdown procurement and expedite where necessary.
