Payroll Specialist (Professional Services)

About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established professional services firm to hire a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations and support related accounting and compliance functions. This role offers exposure to a dynamic environment with close interaction across finance, HR, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-spectrum payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely salary payments
• Handle payroll-related calculations including bonuses, adjustments, and reimbursements
• Review and reconcile payroll reports in compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements
• Prepare payroll reports for management and regulatory submissions
• Support month-end closing activities, including payroll journals and accruals
• Prepare statutory tax filings (e.g. IR8A, IR8E, IR21) and liaise with external advisors where required
• Assist with partner-related matters including tax reporting and payment reconciliations
• Review employee expense claims and process reimbursements
• Support payroll system enhancements and process improvements
• Respond to payroll and expense-related queries in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with Singapore labour laws and regulations

Requirements

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of Singapore payroll regulations, CPF, and income tax requirements
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end payroll processing
• Good understanding of payroll accounting (journals, accruals, month-end close)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Preferred

• Experience in a professional services environment (e.g. legal, accounting, consulting)
• Exposure to partner-related payroll or tax matters
• Experience with payroll systems and process improvements
