Job Summary
The F&B Captain ensures smooth dining operations by supervising wait staff, maintaining high service standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to tables, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit
- Respond professionally to guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Supervise waitstaff and bus staff to consistently meet service standards and operational goals
- Conduct daily team briefings to communicate service objectives, menu specials, and important updates
- Train and mentor new team members on service procedures, food handling, and guest interaction protocols
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff
- Ensure timely delivery of orders that meet presentation and quality standards
- Manage special requests, dietary needs, and allergy considerations with attention to detail
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to coordinate order preparation and delivery, optimizing workflow
- Assist with seating arrangements to maximize table turnover and guest flow during peak periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table settings, linens, and glassware
- Recommend menu items and beverages to guests to promote upselling and enhance dining experience
- Assist guests in selecting wines, cocktails, and beverages based on menu knowledge and pairing expertise
- Monitor and manage inventory of service equipment, reporting shortages and maintaining stock levels
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and local licensing regulations in dining and service areas
- Uphold restaurant policies on food handling, personal hygiene, and staff conduct
- Assist in processing guest payments accurately and maintain documentation of orders, sales, and inventory
