Role Overview

The Assistant Cost Manager will support the delivery of cost management services for a large‑scale advanced manufacturing facility construction project.

Working as part of a commercial team, this role will assist in managing cost planning, procurement, and financial control across CSA, MEP, and specialist systems within a highly technical, fast‑paced project environment. Key Responsibilities

Cost Planning & Estimation Support

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, feasibility studies, and cost plans across different project stages.
• Support cost benchmarking and data analysis for key construction and engineering packages.
• Assist in providing cost input during design development and value engineering exercises.

Procurement & Tendering

• Support the preparation and issuance of tender documentation for CSA, MEP, and specialist works.
• Assist in managing tender queries, document control, and communication with bidders.
• Support tender evaluation through cost comparison, analysis, and reporting.

Post‑Contract Cost Management

• Assist in managing variations, change control processes, and cost tracking.
• Support the review of contractor progress claims and interim valuations.
• Maintain accurate cost records, logs, and financial documentation.

Reporting & Financial Control

• Assist in preparing cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial updates.
• Track project expenditure and highlight any potential cost risks or variances.
• Support compliance with project financial governance and reporting standards.

Technical & Project Coordination

• Work closely with project teams across CSA, MEP, and technical systems to support cost alignment.
• Assist in attending design, coordination, and site meetings.
• Support integration of cost information across engineering and construction activities.

Stakeholder Support

• Assist in liaising with project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Support effective communication and coordination across the project team.
• Provide administrative and commercial support to senior cost management staff.

Governance & Documentation

• Ensure all cost management documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Support adherence to project procedures, governance frameworks, and audit requirements.
• Contribute to capturing project data, lessons learned, and cost benchmarks.

• Prepares operators to accomplish job results by conducting, monitoring and evaluating process training.
• Conduct Operator Specific Skill (OSS) or Logistic Specific Skill (LSS) training for related associates on the assigned workstation according to the Standardized Work Sequence.
• Maintain up-to-date operators training records in Skill Matrix Database.
• Plan and schedule operators' training, certification and recertification and coordinate with production on the training schedule.
• Carry out Policy Deployments, Briefings and Simulations (Central Directives, BPS, WAtS etc).
• Evaluate operator performance for certification purposes.
• Prepare training material (e.g. training modules, training aids, notes).
• Constantly upgrade the current training manuals / methods (power point presentation & mpeg format) to ensure all training modules are applicable to the respective work stations (synchronized with BPS requirements).
• Work independently to obtain training materials (e.g. training aids, samples, notes, process info, quality indicators and correct work sequence).
• Participate actively in New Product Training during Engineering Build, Pre-Pilot and Pilot Runs to ensure all critical milestones are met for OSS and LSS Certification for new product.
• Maintain discipline at all time to ensure effective operators training.
• Ensure all training facilities are maintained in tip-top condition.
• Provide up-to-date operator training data whenever required.
• Prepare and execute documentations accurately and in a timely manner (e.g. Training Records, Training Attendance, OSS/OJT Tracking and Premium Forms).
• Conduct the monitoring of operators on the production shop floor by doing line audits to ensure operators follow the process stated in the Standardized Work Instruction and Quality Indication.
• To follow defined Standard Operating Procedures in the Department.
• Inform superiors on any non-confirming issues in the Training Section.
• Practice good housekeeping (7S), safety and security conscious at all times.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

BROAD FUNCTIONS :

· To plan, coordinate and follow-up sputter systems start-up / conversion activities and process

documentation.

· To audit sputter parameters and practice periodically, include online SPC and procedure

conformance.

· To lead sputter process related issues trouble shooting (common causes), work closely with shift

process team in sputter process sustaining, trouble shooting & improvement in order to achieve

sputter utilization (down time), yield & quality goal.

· To lead Sputter Process Improvement Projects (SU/STT/Cost/Quality/PPH & others), which

include new products/machines/process qualification.

· To lead, supervise and coach/train process tech, include engineering specialist and characterize

technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Regular

· Responsible for sputter process related issues trouble shooting (common causes), work closely

with Shift process team in sputter process sustaining, trouble shooting & improvement in order to

achieve sputter utilization (down time) & quality goal.

· Responsible to lead, supervise and coach/train process tech, include engineering specialist and

characterize technicians. Responsible to train and share PMR/DS sputter process and yield

improvement knowledge with the team.

· Responsible for sputter parameters monitoring, include online SPC monitoring and procedure

conformance.

· Responsible for sputter machine start-up include process characterize (new products & process

changes).

· Responsible for new products/machines/process qualification.

· Responsible for sputter process improvement projects (SU/STT/Cost/Quality/PPH & others).

Others include FMEA.

· Understand and accept responsibility for performing jobs safely

· Follow safety and health rules

· Responsible to assist in sputter yield related issues trouble shooting (common causes). Work

closely with Anelva yield team in sputter yield sustaining, trouble shooting & improvement in order

to achieve sputter yield goal. This includes 0725 Operation Yield Improvement.

· Other supervisor assigned task

Improve Media magnetic baseline: ACC% and to enable process stability and repeatability via recipe tuning and optimization. Responsible for new product qualifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The MRE Engineering Technician is responsible for executing DET Guzik and QMT testing activities, supporting production and engineering operations through accurate data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, and tester buyoff. This role ensures test quality, equipment readiness, and timely data reporting to support continuous manufacturing performance and quality improvement.

• Perform all types of DET Guzik and QMT testing, ensuring no delays and consistent, stable measurement results that meet Test Criteria
• Compile and upload test data to Online SPC timely to meet expected Test TAT, and continuously update all test requests and tracking documentation
• Conduct tester conversion buyoff, troubleshooting, and head changes as required
• Support data package compilation for NPI, SMO, Time Slice and other requests as assigned
• Manage reference and head issuance, inventory, screening activities, and reference generation
• Communicate test information clearly during shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations
• Maintain MRE lab 7S standards, comply with all safety and health regulations, and support engineering teams as directed
• Work in cleanroom environment with rotating 12-hour shift patterns and cross-plant support as required

1. Operate decanting machine to load carbon black and silica in accordance with production systems procedures and quality standards
2. Transport, load, and unload full and empty jumbo bags of carbon black and silica while monitoring material levels
3. Weigh and pack filtered carbon black to specification
4. Follow all safety, environmental, and quality requirements; immediately report unsafe conditions or hazards to supervisor
5. Stop production and escalate to supervisor if unable to meet specifications or quality standards

• Oversee high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined spaces, electrical works, and chemical handling
• Maintain and update all safety documentation, permits-to-work, and compliance records
