RESPONSIBILITIES

The position requires engineer to carry out tasks related to the support of broadcast and broadcast IT related equipment and systems, including activities such as manning of support hotline, system diagnosis, remediation and monitoring, system administration, patching and preventive maintenance. In addition, the position is required also to support the planning and implementation of broadcast IT system projects.

• Provide technical support to broadcast equipment and systems in News Studios & News Post Production and asset management system, Outside Broadcast production van, News Room Computer System and etc.
• Document, communicate, collaborate, and handle fault incidents
• Assess system vulnerabilities and provide guidance, remediate and mitigate any reliability and security risks
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of broadcast equipment and system.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance broadcast and IT equipment.

• Evaluate and recommend new broadcast IT equipment and system.
• Support project implementation of broadcast IT system and infrastructures including the support in drafting of technical specifications and costings documentations.

• Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Security or equivalent. CCNA, Certification in Information Technology networking field is an advantage.
• Candidate without the required academic qualifications but with at least 3 years of relevant experience in IT, Broadcast or Media Production related field are welcome to apply.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and implement Advanced engineering and process control solutions to optimize production processes, streamline workflows, and boost manufacturing productivity.

This is an individual contribution role as a Plating Process Control Engineer in manufacturing engineering operations responsible for monitoring and controlling plating processes to ensure quality and yield targets while implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives. The role encompasses managing plating bath chemistry and refresh schedules, troubleshooting process deviations, conducting statistical analysis to support process changes, and ensuring compliance with contamination control procedures. The engineer is also expected to leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to establish linkages between Key Process Input Variables (KPIVs) and Key Process Output Variables (KPOVs), enabling predictive process control and data-driven decision making. Key technical competencies include understanding electroplating principles and chemistry, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, experience with process control systems and data analysis, and familiarity with cleanroom operations and safety protocols. • Support industry and technical research for the development and review of standards, including conducting verification studies to identify potential users of the standards.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering or Workplace Safety and Health.

• Preferably at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, engineering or safety related fields.

• Secretariat experience supporting committees or working groups will be advantageous.

• Results oriented with the ability to manage and execute projects both independently and as part of a team.

• Meticulous and well organised, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and manage time efficiently in fast paced settings.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

• Good writing and communication skills.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and implement Advanced engineering and process control solutions to optimize production processes, streamline workflows, and boost manufacturing productivity.
• Continuously assess and enhance Advanced engineering and process control capabilities/features to meet evolving production requirements, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal operational disruptions.
• Generate and manage comprehensive reports on production and manufacturing KPIs
• Take charge of Advanced process control (APC) and fault detection classification (FDC) projects from initiation to conclusion, defining E2E integration scope, managing timelines, and providing regular progress updates.
• Proactively monitor APC/FDC performance, pre-emptively identify potential system issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Conduct regular maintenance of APC/FDC software and hardware, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure systems operate at peak performance.
• Collaborate with production and IT teams to identify opportunities for overall Advanced engineering process control improvement and implement changes that align with long-term operational objectives.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Groovy or Python and experience with database management such as Oracle
• Proficient in Model predictive control definition and understanding in semiconductor manufacturing system, processes and technologies
• Proven track record in Advanced Process control system (APC, FDC) development, integration, and optimization in a semiconductor environment.
• Understanding of AMAT E3 and PDF Exensio application will be added advantage.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with IT cross functional team (MES, EA, IMC)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow SOP and perform regular AMHS H/W preventive maintenance.
• Work with vendor as automation on duty help desk for system abnormal recovery & trouble shooting.
• Monitor daily system & tool performance and regular report update.
• Automation project support

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences:

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, ITE, Poly in Mechanical/Electric Engineering fields or equivalent
• Prefer to have AMHS experience or semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and work in 12hrs day-night shifts.
• Ability to work at height & carry 10kg items.
