Job Duties:

Your main details are to support the smooth operations of workshop maintenance by coordinating equipment servicing schedules and maintaining accurate maintenance records. This includes updating work order descriptions, tracking tyre and component replacement records, and ensuring timely receipting of delivery orders.

You will liaise with equipment users to ensure that equipment is sent in promptly for servicing and follow up on scheduled maintenance activities. In addition, you will monitor the expiry dates of lifting appliances and workshop equipment inspections to ensure compliance and include these requirements in work orders raised for payment.

You will also coordinate vehicle inspections with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), arrange Maintenance Inspections (MI) with the EQIMD team, and assist with other administrative duties related to workshop operations.

Requirements:

• NITEC or minimum 3 ‘O’ level credits
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Good organizational and coordination skills
• Able to work at Tuas

Job Description

This position involves working on a project related to the coordination of large teams of autonomous robots (e.g., UAVs) in mixed cooperative-competitive environments. The Research Assistant will support the development, simulation, testing, and implementation of collaborative control algorithms for multi-agent robotic systems, under the guidance of the PI and senior researchers. The work will first focus on simulation studies and may later involve hardware experiments with project partners. The role provides an opportunity to work with the PI’s team at the National University of Singapore, as well as industrial, government, and overseas collaborators. The successful candidate is expected to be motivated, responsible, and willing to learn, with a Master’s-level background in robotics, control, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related disciplines. Prior exposure to multi-agent systems, robotic control, reinforcement learning, or autonomous aerial vehicles would be an advantage.

The main research tasks for the project include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the development and evaluation of conventional and learning-based controllers for collaborative control of multi-agent robotic systems in mixed cooperative-competitive environments.
• Implementing and testing control algorithms in simulation environments, with possible support for hardware experiments on robotic or UAV platforms.

Qualifications

• Good programming skills in Python.
• Basic experience with PyTorch, deep learning, reinforcement learning, or related machine learning tools.
• Basic understanding of robotics, control systems, machine learning, or multi-agent systems.
• Experience with robotic simulation environments or aerial simulators would be an advantage.
• Prior exposure to UAVs, autonomous robots, or hardware experiments would be beneficial but is not required.• Ability to read research papers and summarize key technical ideas.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a research team.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join a funded research project on AI safety and youth digital well-being in Singapore. The project focuses on designing empowerment-oriented tools that support healthier teen-mobile technology relationships without relying on surveillance, monitoring, or enforcement.
This role is ideal for someone interested in research and design at the intersection of technology, well-being, and youth. The successful candidate will contribute to a project that combines empirical research, co-design, community engagement, and the development of real-world systems.
Role responsibilities
•    Support and help lead studies with teens and relevant stakeholders in Singapore
•    Assist with or help organize co-design workshops and community engagement activities
•    Identify design and technical requirements for the project
•    Contribute to the design, development, and field deployment of a system
•    Support broader research activities, including data collection, synthesis, coordination, and documentation
Depending on the candidate’s experience and background, the role may involve different levels of responsibility in research design, project coordination, analysis, prototyping, and writing.

Position structure
