What does a (Freelance On-site) Digital Project Manager do at WPP Production? 

You will be expected to lead and manage digital projects for the South East Asian (SEA) market while bringing together a multi-disciplinary team comprising of internal resources and external resources as required. You will also be expected to implement interactive marketing communications that answers the brief within all the necessary specified style and technical guidelines for our Client. Hold a degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management, Construction Management, or related construction and engineering fields recognized by Singapore’s Board of Architects, Professional Engineering Board, or Building and Construction Authority.

The Global KYC Transformation Project Manager is responsible for driving the standardization and optimization of our KYC processes for APAC.This role involves collaborating with global teams and other relevant departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while enhancing operational efficiency. The Project Manager will directly report to the Program Manager, Global KYC Transformation based in Singapore.

Purpose of Role

• The Project Manager will lead MUFG’s Global KYC Operations transformation in the region, setting strategies and collaborating closely with relevant teams around the world.
• The Project Manager will act as a catalyst to drive changes throughout the bank to establish a best-in-class KYC organization, setting up a new Target Operating Model (TOM) and enhancing our processes with the latest technology.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Formulate comprehensive KYC transformation program for APAC and build consensus among stakeholders.

• Develop and implement strategies for various KYC projects, including:

1. New Target Operating Model (e.g. 1Client-1KYC model)
2. Enhancement of governance structure, including establishment of Regional KYC Office
3. Enhancement of KYC systems, tools, and technology
4. Business process re-engineering, standardization, and optimization
5. Talent development and change management initiatives

• Collaborate with Global KYC Leadership team, Regional Heads, and Branches to establish a regional KYC strategy and roadmap.

• Identify deliverables, timelines, and requirements for each project, ensuring consensus among stakeholders and resolving conflicting views.

• Implement a robust project management structure and maintain project documentation that meets global audit standards.
• Manage the delivery of multiple complex projects simultaneously, monitoring progress, dependencies, and ensuring timely completion.

Stakeholder Management:

• Establish project governance and chair project committees at various levels (e.g. SteerCo, OpCos, Working Groups at regional level) as the decision-making body for the program.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders from Front Office, KYC, Compliance, Technology, etc. at regional and global levels to ensure smooth communication and synchronization of actions.
• Ensure project stakeholders are informed of project status and ensure issues are escalated in a timely manner.

Operational Excellence:

• Apply expert business transformation and KYC knowledge to create a platform that maximizes productivity and strengthens control environment.
• Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of operations by producing better business frameworks.
• Conduct business analysis for MUFG’s APAC Branches.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 7 years work experience in strategic project management within a complex matrix structure.
• Demonstrated experience managing large KYC / AML projects and programs across multiple locations.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in stakeholder management such as conflict resolution, consensus building skills, and an ability to build partnerships and influence beyond area of responsibility.
• Experience in managing multiple complex projects and competing priorities, completing milestones, and working toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• You will be highly organized, with a structured and logical approach.
• Experience in driving process improvements by using tools such as process mapping and design, data analysis and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an advantage.

About the Role

• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of building projects, including planning, coordination, and delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 5–10 years of Project Management experience with an A1 Main Contractor.
• Strong understanding of building projects, local authority regulations, and construction processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project progress under tight timelines.
• Proficient in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is an advantage.
